Hi I’ve had AF for a number of years now but it seems to be controlled by bisoprolol apart from my Apple Watch telling me I’m in AF which I wouldn’t have realised. Anyway blood tests have shown I’m very low in B12 and vit d and anaemic and I’ve been feeling dizzy, tired and my ankles and feet swelling

Post Op Clinic today
I just wanted to update folks on my progress. I've been to Papworth this afternoon for clinic, my surgery was 9 1/2 weeks ago. Whilst it was a bit of a production line process they did an ECG, Chest X-Ray and checked my Stats. Since I've been home , about 2 hours after leaving clinic, I've been asked

Update.
Hi all. Been a bit quiet recently as I have had some issues. I had what I thought was heartburn a couple of weeks ago along with shortness of breath. After tests anECG and chest x-ray it is probable that I had a silent heart attack. Being monitored by the hospital. I have been exhausted recently so had

a few years ago after a bout of bronchitis which I often got in the winter I was given asthma pumps, I’ve never been sure if I had asthma. Following wheezing when I lay down or even in the day my doctor listened to my chest and sent me for a chest X-ray, this showed a shadow on my lung and I was sent

Another round of departments
I've joined several boards on here: initially PMR because that's what was diagnosed first, then the Lung board because after I saw the rheumatologist in January this year for the first time he said he'd like to try me on methotrexate but wanted a clear chest x-ray first - and that's when the fun really

Been coughing for 3months
I have been coughing since 20th of May in what began as a mild sore throat. I have since hard 3 courses of antibiotics and a chest X-ray revealed a bit of fluid in the lungs, which the consultants do not feel is much of an issue. the coughing is very productive in the morning and then very dry at night

hi, i have autoimmune illnesses, graves(thyroidectomy, so now under active), severe B12 deficiency, etc. Since having covid in March for the first time, I developed changes to my voice and some issues swallowing. Conflicting information
Would appreciate any thoughts/advice please. Approx 10wks ago I developed some aches & pains in arms and legs followed by a really bad cold that lasted a week and laid me up in bed for a day. I felt really unwell but repeated covid tests were all negative and the cold symptoms eventually cleared up.

Infuriating Asthma Appointment
So i had a follow-up appointment with my asthma consultant at the hospital today and he told me that he doesn't think I have asthma despite the fact that I have been diagnosed asthmatic most of my life and that I don't need to take inhalers or nebulisers or use steroids and antibiotics. He believes this

Provisional diagnosis...does it sound like allergic asthma?
Is daily, chronic phlegm a feature that many people here experience with asthma? I have a provisional asthma diagnosis from GP, and have been on the lowest dose of reliever and preventer inhalers for three months. I am also taking an antihistamine (allergic to pet dander- I have two pets and have done

Storm in a teacup.
On Tuesday I had overnight chest pain - hx of unstable angina which cardiologist thinks may be small vessel angina, but has not investigated yet. It all started after AVR went wrong 4 years ago, I suffered circulatory collapse post surgery and needed an emergency triple by pass. I ended up with

Ectopic beats and sinus tachycardia
Hi all! I wondered if anyone has ever experienced what I have, for years I have had ectopic beats with no other symptoms. 6 weeks ago I went to bed with ectopics, didn’t take much notice as it happens most days, suddenly I woke in the middle of the night feeling out of breathe and very weak a feeling

Breathlessness
hi everyone, I wonder if I could have some advice! I’m having what I assume is a lupus flare (although my pain isn’t as bad as it sometimes gets), my main issue is over the last week I’ve become increasingly breathless. My blood pressure, pulse rate and blood oxygen is all normal. I have no temperature

ECG Results
Good news my ECG results are good but GP is still concerned as my heart rate is still slower than they would like so appointment to see GP in a couple of weeks for examination and he said may also have a 24 hour monitor fitted and if that doesn't yield results will need chest x-ray also he said move

Can GPs only test thyroid once a year?
I've had a really irritated (not sore) windpipe and what I term low battery (no power in my muscles) for the past week and finally plucked up courage to battle GP system and report my issue. I've become 'aware' of my front throat area (thyroid) and can now feel it ifkwim. I've got a terrible irritated
