Hi everyone. I have PV and early MF. I take Ruxolitinib . I am 44. I have shielded as many of us have. As a family with 3 children, we have been very careful to avoid places and people but yet contracted Covid the week before Christmas. I am still recovering from terrible fatigue and also developed panic attacks too which I now take medication for. It has been a difficult few weeks but we have survived when many have not. It really proves how easily we can catch Covid. Take care everyone xxxx

Surviving Covid
hello MamPRV, really sorry that you have had such a bad time and still suffering with the after effects of COVID, I do hope you feel much better soon, and really pleased that you got through it. Take care Maz x x x
I’m really sorry to hear what you have been/and are still going through. The psychological impact is understandable and shouldn’t be underestimated. I do hope this decreases with time as you gain strength. Yes, you’ve survived, but have had a harrowing experience.
I also echo your thoughts ‘how easily we can catch Covid’. I have mentioned in another post how my friends sister died from Covid Xmas week, aged 63. Both her and her husband who is in icu were extremely careful since the initial lockdown. My friend (her sister), has been the complete opposite, it’s ironic.
I wish you well. A day at a time! Xx
Hi ManPRV. Sorry to hear you have been suffering over Christmas and still having to deal with the long term effects. I just wanted to share with you, I had a call from my heamotogist yesterday and she told me to go ahead with the Covid vaccine when I get the call. I was querying it with taking ruxolitinib and MF but she said it's as safe for us MPN groups as the rest of the population and any help to protect us from the virus is a positive.
Best wishes
Jo
