PSA rising during triplet therapy. What to ask the oncologist?
Hello to this wonderfully helpful community, my dad's initial PSA was extremely high (3103), so I don't know what to expect. The treatment has been going for four months and a half since ADT (2 months and a half since Zytiga and Docetaxel was added). He started ADT on December, Zytiga and Docetaxel

Adding TurkeyTail (or other Mushrooms) to my current treatment
I'm a 70 year old, healthy person who has faced no major health issues (or addressed them quickly.) I'm retired and live alone. After pushing for PSA test, I had 6 in 6/22 and 20 in 8/22. Biopsy in 9/22 showed Gleason 4+5=9 and classified as stage 4. Bone scan and Cat showed small metastices in spine

Glutamine and RLS Does anyone have any info please?
Hi! Please help if you can. I just finished breast cancer chemo and have now developed peripheral neuropathy despite wearing ice on my hands and feet for two hours during treatment. My RLS was finally pretty under control because I went on Trazadone 50 mg. Still taking. .25 Mirapex and Lunesta. Now

Why do we stop treatment
I have to post my experience of having once stopped treatment. I see various posts here with guys asking about stopping their treatments. I started treatment when I was 52 years old. ADT, Chemo and radiation. After treatment PSA went to undetectable. After 2 years with undetectable PSA I thought I was

Curcumin (Theracurmin) Improves Mild Cognitive Impairment and Memory - A Randomized Clinical Trial
What we call "Chemo-Brain" is a form of MCI resulting from cancer treatments including
chemotherapy
and also ADT in some of us with APC. This includes myself so I am very interested in this result.

Struggling with Chemo cisplatin & epitoposide
I have reoccurrence stage4 high serous grade ovarian. It came back quite quickly. I am halfway through my 8 week chemo cycle which has been so harsh this time round. I am having cisplatin and epitoposide tablet. I was told my Ca125 was heading in the right direction a few weeks ago. After a week off

When to add Lynparza?
I completed six rounds of chemo (docetaxel + carboplatin) end of February. Bottom line from PSMA Pet scan in late March: some tumors reduced in size/intensity, others stayed the same, no new PCa evident. PSA remains undetectable. I’m on Lupron and Nubeqa. Genetic testing shows my cancer has the ATM mutation

Worrying study on long-term ADT (esp Enza)
I just came across a study (2019 International Journal of Pharmacology) that suggests that long-term use of ADT can cause neuroendicrine differentiation, leading to rapid spread and more aggressive spread. (the article was actually about the use of propanalol to counteract the effect of NED, but the

ET/Jak2 postive
Hello! I was recently diagnosed with ET. I had not had bloodwork done in 15 years but just decided maybe I should and my platelets came back 600. They rechecked again 2 weeks later and they were 617. So, I was referred to a hematologist. After more bloodwork there, they found I was also Jak2 positive
