Hi everyone. Hope everyone is doing as well as they can. Quick question I have just finished my 2nd line chemotherapy after my 2nd debaulking surgery. I was diagnosed with OC stage 3c in 2020 with reoccourance April 2022. I am due to start Anastrozole 1mg in the next 2 weeks due to my tumour being estrogen receptor positive and was wondering how anyone else who has being prescribed this maintenenace therapy has been on them. I am BRCA 1&2 negative.
Thank you

I will be following. I meet with onc tomorrow re staring letrozole, a similar estrogen blocker. I have had a slow growing tumor removed 5 yr post diagnosis, and they don’t know what else to do with me. Brca neg. Both original and recent tumors were estrogen receptor positive. I have moderate grade. There is a clinical trial called MATEO on this too, so hope to stave off full blown disease for awhile. Hope it works for us!

Hi Stephanie. Thank you for your reply. I hope that the Letrozole is very successful for you. You’re well informed. I must ask more questions. Interesting about the clinical trial too.
I wish you every success with your new chemo. And I hope side effects are very tolerable.
hi! I just joined this group and just saw this. I also started taking Anastrozole and am stage 3c/4a high grade serous OC. My oncologist switched me from Avastin to this because I had to have major surgery back in December. I’m having a horrible time with side effects though. (Joint and bone pain, hot flashes, fatigue) I was curious if you experienced similar and had any recommendations on alleviating them?
