Laparoscopy done, 2nd time lucky
After the first cancellation due to lack of beds, I finally had my lap at a private hospital on Saturday afternoon. No endometriosis was found which I find surprising due to the fact that I have every symptom and am in pain all the time. He did find I still have PCOS. Adenomyosis was already found via

Let us take a step. Let us bring the change...
Two days ago I received a letter from the NHS (National Health Service) inviting me for a cervical screening. I found it surprising. Cervical Screening Test? Me ? Why ?!! And when I opened it, I found a cute little booklet explaining the significance of the test, the meaning of the test and benefits

Fobbed off..how were you or your child fobbed off before you got a Coeliac or another diagnosis?
So many members here have amazing stories of how it took 10 yrs or more to get diagnosed with Coeliac Disease or another condition that was in fact causing their symptoms. I think it would be useful for us to share these & our actual diagnosis so that newbies in search of help are better prepared when

Irregular bleeding and mirena removal / smear test
I posted earlier about whether having the mirena removed is painful and whether I can have a smear test done at the same time as I have put off my next test for many years. Now I have another issue - I want the mirena out urgently, as soon as I can get an appointment. However, last night I started

Info about having the mirena removed?
Hi all, I've no end of problems since I had mirena inserted during my lap in August. I've had lots of bleeding, awful contractions and terrible depression but my gynae said I could have it taken out in February so that's what im going to do. I'm really frightened about having it out though - how

What next!
Finally got round to having my smear done, with all the upset caused by diagnosis of PBC this had been sidelined for a while. I have got a small cervical polyp and am being referred to gynae, I am not that worried about it as I am asymptomatic with it (no bleeding, or pain). Anyone else had this,

Confused after consultant appointment.
I had an appointment yesterday to see my consultant. I had the Mirena fitted end of June so this appointment was supposed to be a follow-up to see if there had been any change in pain. I was fitted with it after adenomyosis was found in my womb via a MRI scan. So I end up seeing someone else who works

Pelvic floor
I have had this problem on and off for over 6 years. It only comes about every 4 to 6 months so can't really be described as a huge annoyance. When I tense my pelvic floor muscle it can hurt. Like a dull ache but only when it's tensed and not sharp or really painful. It is more to one side too. I first

does any one have any advise?
This may be a bit too much information but i am getting to breaking point. I am 20 years old and have had endo for years. I had my laparoscopy in January in which they found webbing and lazered it off. Since then i have been on my period almost constantly and the pain is no better (go figures), I can't

Do I need to have a smear test because I am planning to become pregnant?
I am planning to become pregnant soon. Due to a long term medical condition I had to discuss and plan pregnancy with my doctor. My doctor says that I must have a smear test before becoming pregnant. Is this correct? Why? Has anyone else been told the same thing?

I feel like i just need to vent im so upset and worried right now and just feel really alone.. on top of having endo and constantly worrying about my fertility i now also had an abnormal cervical smear (first ever smear) which resulted in me having to go to the hospital for a colposcopy and biopsy..
