well here we are and its nearly christmas and i get an invite in the post , ooooo lovely ? um no its for a cervical smear hmmm i suppose my legs will get some exercise the

I had mine recently too, not much fun but so important to keep us healthy. I wasn't looking forward to it having Fibromyalgia and being in pain that day but the nurse was lovely and the examination was fine and all came back normal. So it was well worth it.

I hope it will be fine for you too Irisjoy.

I guess you have all heard the joke about the woman who nips to the loo before hers, uses a tissue out of her handbag .. Then when she has her smear the nurse hands her back a postage stamp which she had pulled out of her bag with the tissue

I'm lucky I no longer need them as I have no cervix they took it out when I had my hysterectomy fingers crossed for those that do , merry Christmas to all and a happy new year.love to all Christmas kisses. Sithy

I had a funny thing happen when I went for a scan on my leg, they thought I had a blood clot in my leg. I laid on the table, the woman was going up and down my leg, then went to my groin. All of a sudden she says " Oh Sorry". I did wonder at the time why she had said it, but didnt really think about it until I went to the loo later, looked down and there was this massive hole in my knickers lolol Her fingers must have gone through them when she pulled them out of the way to scan my groin lol.

I had an invite for mine ages ago now but suffer/ed from Vaginismus (tighteneing) and still haven't had it done despite various invites and attempts. Will have to try again in the new year as have had dodgy cells found down there before.
