Painful smear caused by endometriosis??
I'm on the desogestrol pill to stop periods (
cerazette
) which I read can thin your vaginal walls therefore making it more tender down there... Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and if there's any advice for next time?

First post , any similar experiences?
Now 8 months later , I’ve just had my letter through to make an appointment with gynae but I’m worried they won’t want to do anything with me as since I’ve been on
cerazette
I haven’t had a period so haven’t had all of the awful symptoms I was previously having.

Other treatment options
After my op I was put on
cerazette
and that unfortunately didn’t stop periods or do very much. I went back to the doctors and they then put me on Cerelle. Since being on this birth control I have still had the horrendous pain and more noticeably really bad migraines/headaches!

Is endometriosis likely?
I’ve been doing some researching and everything seems to be pointing to endometriosis .. so with no help from doctors I’ve decided to start taking the
cerazette
pill to see if that helps.

Has anyone had success with Mirena coil even though cerazette didn’t stop their bleeding?
I have my next appointment on Wednesday, but my consultant said previously that the next step would be to try the Mirena coil if
cerazette
didn’t work.

New contraception
And if so, should I stop taking
Cerazette
as there is increased risk of ectopic pregnancy?

Where to turn now?
I’ve just come off
cerazette
. I had high hopes for it working, took the headaches at the beginning, the random bleeding and worsened pain but what it’s done to my mental health was the last straw.

Post-lap period?
I was put on
Cerazette
at the beginning of the year to help with my symptoms, and it stopped my periods completely (which was an absolute dream!) I'm still taking the pill, yet yesterday an unexpected period arrived (heavy and very painful, the same as before I started taking the pill).

Cerazette - 3 days and feel awful ?!?!?
I’ve been taking
Cerazette
for 3 days and I feel even worse, like I’ve taken a sedative or something, mild constant headache and I feel really tearful and angry. Is it possible for
Cerazette
to affect me that quickly or is it my anxious mind doing it???

Post op bleeding with coil
Was on
cerazette
prior to op and had no bleeding. Got my coil check next week so I’ve got lots of questions. Did anyone else have coil fitted? Did it settle? Thanks Michelle

Deep right sided groin pain
Now I’m on a double dose of
cerazette
but I’m still bleeding every wk, my body doesn’t know whether I’m coming or going. I’ve now been suffering deep pain on the right side of my groin. I just can’t get comfy it’s a deep throbbing pulling pain.

Full period despite being on mini-pill
They removed everything they found and have now put me on the Mini pill (
Cerazette
to be precise!) I woke up yesterday morning with a full period! (Sorry for the TMI!) I was told by my doctor to expect some spotting but this is definitely not spotting. It is very heavy and very very painful!!

Options other than Mirena coil
The doctor then decided to switch me across to
Cerazette
, which was even worse and how my diagnosis of endo came about. I used to get the most horrendous pain and cramps, sickness and Terrible pain and bleeding during sex.
