Morning all, hope everyone is well and warm this cold Sunday morning. Just thought I'd introduce myself as I've just recently joined the forum but I'm also on the bhf and health unlocked site too so here's a brief outline of my journey so far. I've been under the cardiologist for 3 years now with ectopics

Potential New Treatment for “Brain Fog” in Long COVID Patients
Although brain fog in thyroid patients has often been dismissed by medics (whether not understood, not believed, or some other reason, I cannot say). However, it is coming through as a recognised symptom of Long Covid. Hopefully, even if the actual detailed causes are slightly or radically different

Constipation ....
Sooooo, while there are some things which are considered "unmentionable", they are often the things where a chat can be very helpful. Many of us are on heavy pain medications, most of which cause constipation. Personally, I can go eight days and end up with nausea and stomach pain. Yes, I have tried

Thanks for all your support & update from yesterday
Just an update as everyone has been so kind in replying with support, I’ve seen the GP had some bloods taken and saw the cardiologist again this evening. Following an ECG & heart scan all seems to be well. No fluid in the pericardial spaces has happened with the last two ablations. My heart is remaining

Breathless all the time
I have AF, which was controlled until recently by Flecanaide. When my heart rhythm became irregular again my GP took me off Flecanaide and put me on Carvedilol. However, this made me very breathless so he took me off that and now I’m taking nothing for my heart condition except Apixaban. When I saw the

0ne year on from AF ablation.
Positive changes since my ablation in Dec 2021: my AF episodes and panic attacks have become less intense. My heart rate never goes beyond 120 BPM during an AF episode now, and the longest episode I've had has been about 90 seconds. My panic attacks have probably become less severe due to Bisoprolol,

Anyone is using CBD for CLL?
I am considering using
CBD
without the THC (psychoactive ingredient). I wonder what is your experience? What type of
CBD
oil should I take?

MPN's and afib
Hi, Hi, I'm curious if anyone has had afib after you were dx with an MPN? I had it for the first time on December 1. Besremi was ruled out as the cause, so the cardio team landed on age (I'm 64) as I have no structural issues with my heart. We all know as MPN suffers we have higher risk for

Thrombosis score
Is there such a thing as a thrombosis score? I see it mentioned in the odd article? If so what affects this risk. I have a follow up appointment next week. At the moment I am on watch and wait for primary MF intermediate 1, with mutations JAK 2, 32% and DNMT3A 20%. Abnormaility in chromosome 9 and

CBD OIL
Just read an article about an 80 year old lady who had stage 4 lung cancer and took liquid
CBD
oil daily, and refused all treatment. The tumour disappeared. Is this made up, surely the experts would have found that
CBD
is a cure. It's like diet, there's no diet that can cure cancer.

Cardioversion for Flutter now
Hi all, I went to Cardiologist today who put me on ECG and said my AF has gone... the Flecainide worked but I did a running session before I took it to see if I could shock it back into Sinus maybe the combo of both worked. However she detected Flutter, which is new to me and possibly caused by the Flecainide

Heart update
At snail's pace the tests and investigations continue. My GP lives in cloud cuckoo land if he thinks the six months ago referral to a cardiologist should have borne fruit by now! I anticipate seeing someone before the end of the decade. However I did have a cardiac ultrasound a couple of weeks ago

AF and now coronary artery disease at 47. I recently had a CT angiogram and the results aren’t great. Back to being scared and worried.
So I first came on this forum with my Afib diagnosis and was terrified and depressed about the diagnosis and medications. I had good news from my echocardiogram as I had no damage at all. The last hurdle was a CT angiogram sadly I’ve not made it so well past this hurdle. I’m absolutely gutted to be honest

hi all some of you know my story but I’ve had PAF for 29 years about 8 times in that period. I went back in AF in August and went on regime of Flecainide, Metropolol and Apixiban. Decided to do Cardioversion end of September after being on drugs for a month. Went off all drugs after a few weeks told
