Thrombosis score

Is there such a thing as a thrombosis score? I see it mentioned in the odd article? If so what affects this risk.

I have a follow up appointment next week.

At the moment I am on watch and wait for primary MF intermediate 1, with mutations JAK 2, 32% and DNMT3A 20%. Abnormaility in chromosome 9 and 13.

I already have had a heart attack in 2019 that was caused by a clot. I Also have systemic sarcoidosis, that is active.

I am petrified of strokes or further heart attacks and would like to minimise risks for this.

Anything I can do? Does Rux reduce this risk?.

Anyone treated in Cambridge Uk?

Hi,

Yes there is a score sheet for thrombosis.

So back in 2014 I suspected a DVT having had two previous before I just knew this could be another DVT.

The GP sent me to hospital they took bloods for the D dimer test then a doctor done a score sheet so this includes the colour of the leg and size to see if it was presenting bigger than the other leg. He said I wasn't showing signs of a DVT I said to him please can you check my blood test as I'm not convinced I don't have a DVT so I think anything over 50 can be a sign of a blood clot my bloods were 2,500 and upon having a scan that revealed my full thigh was clotted from top of my thigh to my knee.

This doctor was going to discharge me I'm so glad I mentioned to check my bloods i only knew about my bloods through previous DVTs Ive had !

A medical lady I spoke to said these check sheets shouldn't be used as it clearly showed I had no clot and it was so wrong.

I'm on blood thinners for life now .

hello Artydutch, it would be a good idea to discuss your concerns about your risk of strokes and clots with your haematology team, so that they can advise you on what you can do to minimize the risk. Best wishes, Maz
