UTI
My mother was catheterized with an in dwelling catheter several years ago as she was not able to empty her bladder and she was constantly requesting to go to the bathroom. She is currently having chronic UTI's. Although we have used several antibiotics for UTI's, none have resolved the infection.

HI everyone, I'm relatively new here, I've been diagnosed with fm foe about a yr even though I've suffered longer.
I also suffer from chronic pain, depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder. My question is: Does anyone else suffer from bladder problems? I have just had a bladder scan, and a urodynamics test on my bladder and the result is my bladder has suffered some nerve damage at some point?? so I'm

Does any body else have urinary problems?
My presenting symptom of Behcet's, the one that led to my diagnosis, was painful urination and heavily blood stained urine. I had all the usual tests with tubes and cameras, as well as investigations under GA. The urologist's report was along the lines of - nothing abnormal to see, although there is

carries the risk of introducing infection, though the indwelling catheter seems to be much more of a cause of this than the intermittent variety. I have had the training for intermittent

I have been asked to empty my bladder last thing at night after going to the loo to check I am emptying my bladder properly. Has anyone had to do this? I have over the last two nights only collected 9mls and 2mls and am not sure it is worth continuing. Thanks

Hi, I have severe rectovaginal endo. Its spread to my bowels and bladder and has led to me having to catheterize constantly. Ive seen specialists in West Wales, Cardiff, Bristol and to be honest, they don't seem to know how to treat me anymore. Ive had 4 big see and treat laps, tried all hormone therapies

3rd Lap tomorrow!! Freak out!! Has anyone else been unable to pee following their surgery?
This is my 3rd to remove endo, am a little anxious but not too bad, glad to be getting it done. In my last surgery 3 years ago, I came round from the surgery and didn't need to pee, few hours later still didn't need to, the nurses informed me that my bladder was ready to burst and the popped a catheter

Sometimes I use intermittent self
catheterisation
- basically a small tube inserted into the bladder that allows you to pee. This is much easier than it sounds and I just do it at night sometimes when things aren't working well.
