catheterization

I have been asked to empty my bladder last thing at night after going to the loo to check I am emptying my bladder properly. Has anyone had to do this? I have over the last two nights only collected 9mls and 2mls and am not sure it is worth continuing.

Thanks

Yes, I was told to do this too. It's supposed to give the bladder a chance to rest.

I stopped because I was getting irritation.

I was getting at least 20 to 60 mls when I cathed.

Did you ask the doc? Doesn't seem like you have much residual urine left in the bladder.

Seems like you are able to fully empty bladder. I had bladder probs once but pottasium level low, used food to correct this on advice from (not gp) others. I was lucky to find a solution.
