Hi. I'm 4 months clear of my 1st Cathater Ablation with hardly and AF in the last 2/3 months. Now all of a sudden I'm getting Flutters almost every day lasting on and off all day! Could AF be creeping back or is it still early days? Has anyone else had the same experience?
Thanks Gaz

I had this following my 2nd ablation but mine were persistent so I needed a cardio version.
Could you speak to your arrhythmia nurse for advice/ reassurance ? It's not unusual to get A flutter following an ablation.
Should this get persistent the good news is that a flutter ablation has a much higher success rate than AF ablation. It is easier to perform as only the right atrium is accessed and should thetefore be much quicker.
Let's hope yours settles down but if not do let your EP know
Going to ring icc nurse today! Thank you for the advise 😊
This could be atrial tachycardia resulting from the ablation. If so, this generally arises in the left atrium, and often requires a second ablation. You need to talk to the arrhythmia nurse sooner rather than later.
Ok thanks for your reply! The funny thing is that i saw my consultant 3 weeks ago! Had an ECG! He asked me how things were going and up until then things had been great, then the minute i walk out the hospital i start with the skipped beats/Flutters!! Anyway I'm going to ring hospital later...
Yeah cheers guys! I've spoken with the icc nurse and also my consultants sctry! He's away till tomorrow so hopefully i will be speaking with him sometime this week 😊
