very high blood pressure
I have had and AV node ablation and a PVI in an effort to control my AF . I was given sotalol and it seems to agree with me. I am usually sensitive to most drugs. Unfortunately although it is said that it makes the BP plunge the opposite has happened to me. I do take a diuretic - indapamide, but since

Post Cardiac Ablation Tiredness
Hello, I'm new to the community and I'm here to learn and share. I have a question. I had a cardiac ablation for atrial flutter in June this year (2019) and 3 months later I'm still having days where I cannot stop yawning and feel tired. Has anyone experienced the same? Is this normal? Any advice is

update to my previous posts. Cali
Despite an AV node ablation and A PVI I have gone back into AF.. My EP has said that he will offer me a last procedure in an effort to curb the breathlessness that I get from AF. This breathlessness stops me walking more than 5 metres and if I ignore the breathlessness and get on with my chores in the

Reflections on Patient’s Day, Birmingham, 2019, a very personal overview.
Warning:- some material contains a portion of personal ranting on outdated NHS protocols so some readers may need to look away at that point. I thought a post may help me to digest the day if I posted a short(ish?) impression for those who may be thinking of attending future events or of what goes on

AV Node Ablation with pacemaker
Scheduled for AV Node Ablation in November. I'm concerned that I will be missing an opportunity for better treatment if i have this ablation. There seems to be more negative information than positive except from the medical doctors. I have had two ablations for A Fib and two ablations for A Flutter.

Now 6 weeks post ablation
I had 28 ablations done whilst having the
Catheter
ablation
, is this considerable? Wondering how long it will be before I feel better. Any advice or observations would be great fully received.

Mechanical heart valves and PAF
A risk my EP does not want to take due to the possibility that the
ablation
catheter
may get caught in a the valves and break off and travel to other parts of the body.

Regularised Arrhythmia.
Under a Cardiologist and with medication, and a recent
catheter
ablation
procedure, hopeful that problem has been overcome. Time will tell.

Activities after successful catheter ablation for A-Fib
Hi. Just wondering about other peoples experiences of returning to sinus rhythm and how quickly they ramped up exercise and doing things like going to theme parks (rollercoasters) etc. Always been wary of "pre-existing heart condition" notices and even now feeling better, don't want to risk anything

An interesting trigger
So the usual re-cap, flutter fixed with
ablation
. Then fibrillation fixed with
catheter
cardioversion. 10 months no meds, no reoccurrence all good. Then 3 episodes of fibrillation in a month. All fixed by PIP of 200 mg Flecainide.

Gender Differences in Treating AF - what women should know.
Firstly there appears to be some structural differences within the heart which may make ablation less successful for women than for men - thanks to a post from Finvola https://healthunlocked.com/afassociation/posts/133709659/gender-differences-in-

Tilted womb and Hysterectomy at 30
Hello, I may not be in the right place but I have been finding this site useful for me and I am hoping that someone can help me. I went to see my surgeon on Wednesday after having a Laparoscopy and hysteroscopy done and the surgeon could not find any endo. If I'm honest I didnt think he would.

Atrial flutter and fatigue
I've been in hospital twice and am now waiting for a cardioversion, followed by another
catheter
ablation
. Since coming home, I've been extremely tired, especially in the afternoons and invariably fall asleep for quite some time each day. Is this to be expected?

Drinking Post Afib Ablation Surgery
So I had
Catheter
Ablation
procedure about a month back and wanted some opinions are drinking alcohol post surgery. I had a few drinks twice since surgery and didn't feel any irregular Afib feelings the next morning which is when I would usually get them.
