Hello! I'm 7 days post ablation for atrial flutter. Feel good mostly, a little breathless occasionally. Pre ablation I was doing 30 mins yoga and walking 3 miles + most days. I'm really looking for advice on getting back to walking and yoga. I've tried a couple of walks, but I'm tiring very fast. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Hi, I am also post ablation- just three days in my case. Like you I want to get back to walking and also swimming, but I think we need to take it slowly and build up. I plan to walk for just ten minutes today and see how it goes. I’m surprised at how tired I am, but when you think about it the heart has had an intervention and there will be scarring even if you can’t see it. Patience is the key! I wish you all the best with your recovery and I’m sure you will be back to your yoga and walks before long.
Patience. Give yourself a break for 4 weeks. What you have had done is pretty serious stuff, even if it is "routine" these days. Took me 6 weeks to get back to normal after my ablation. Rest is important in healing.
