side effects of the prolia shot
I have been getting the prolia shot close to 8/10 yrs… never really having major side effects. A little fatigue a little soreness the last two shots, probably three shots—the more I think of it the side effects are getting extremely worse to the point I don’t want to take it anymore… I had excruciating

GP appointment and blood tests - will recent steroid injection skew results?
Afternoon everyone, I had a GP appointment yesterday to discuss my symptoms. Went through everything that has happened since the summer. She sent me for blood tests today which included CRP, ESR, Rheumatoid factor and various other tests relating to autoimmune conditions. She insisted I call back for

update on hubby
Hubby was feeling very bad earlier in the year from what turned out to be overdosing of levodopa when they changed him to the ER madopar. This caused severe rigidity even in his throat, agitation and sundowning in the evening, and eventually he kept trying to escape in the night to try and kill himself

Hi there! Came here out of desperation. My soon to be 2 year old has had terrible sleep since day 1. He is extremely hyperactive, and would be up in the middle of the night for hours. We tried every natural syrup or solution recommended by doctors. Finally saw a neurologist and he suggested RLS. We are

Loading doses
I will try and keep this as short as possible. 21 years ago GP diagnosed PA and up until 3 years ago I had B12 injections every 12 weeks. 3 years ago the CCG instructed GP's to cut down giving injections to anyone unless they had PA. My jobsworth GP decided to give me a blood test, which was in range

Bruising
Hello all- I have been on Hydroxyurea for my ET for 3 years and have recently started bruising quite a bit even though I have been on Plavix and aspirin for 3 years as well. None of my doctors have an answer which is really frustrating as I look like I have been beat up because the bruising is so bad

Early 50s male, healthy till hypothyroidism my first few months experience of treatment
I don't usually share info on the internet, but as a lot of material out there is aimed at women or Americans (I mean no offence to either!) I thought I'd stay my experience so far. Diagnosis, what does it all mean, and treatment/first medications. DIAGNOSIS Late 2022 I saw a nurse as I was taking longer

Hubby has been scheduled for prostate surgery on 26 June 2023 at Vanderbilt. Surgeon asked him to stop
COQ10, Krill Oil, Turmeric, Aspirin and B Complex
for 10 days prior to surgery. I understand that he needs to stop first four which are blood thinners, BUT WHY
B COMPLEX?
Can any one

INTRINSIC FACTOR ANTIBODY positive result
Does a positive INTRINSIC FACTOR ANTIBODY mean I have Pernicious Anemia? Does this mean I'm on B12 shots for life?

Have I got RA ?
Hi I have been taking Prednisolone for PMR for 18 months and now on 5mg each morning under the care of a Rhuematologist . I have had Osteoarthritis for a good few years mainly in my finger joints . My Dr is now questioning if I have RA because my middle finger on the right hand is markedly more swollen

Full-text article from 1969
This article is beyond me. I am posting it because it seems relevant on the face; in addition, it is a 1969 article, and full text of articles from the 1960s and 1970s are rarely available, which would seem to suggest that this article is a special case. Therefore, some people on this forum might be

my story
I started on cobalamin injections pre Covid then when lockdown arrived was put on Tablet form which remained until last July when a retired Doctor in our practice noticed I’d been requesting to be given B12 injections once more. I’d gone for a different reason but I felt so well by next day it convinced

Yet another clueless G.P. - I despair!
So, I've been getting symptoms that I'm pretty sure are down to my thyroid being on the fritz. I was recommended a new G.P. at the practice who takes an interest in autoimmune problems. So I sit down, tell her that my hair is falling out, I'm gaining weight, tired, palpitations etc and that I have autoimmune
