On thyroxine 20 + years, now v high t4, low t3
Hi everyone. I had a partial thyroidectomy, in 1988. I was placed on thyroxine (t4) but always had to change my diet to feel well, to a very spartan diet of fish and veg, and then I felt really well - otherwise very cold, felt mentally flat, etc... This went on for years. Over that time, I believe

Hi!
Hello I have just joined. I had a partial thyroidectomy 26 years ago and haven't been the same since. I have been on antidepressant ,had therapy, but nothing really worked. I have been feeling slitly better since my GP increased my Lethyroxine from 50 to 75. I cannot keep a job for some reason even though

Which tests required???
I had a partial thyroidectomy in 1984. Since then I have had many of the typical symptoms of hypothyroidism. After years of asking my GP I was finally put on a low dose of Levothyroxine about 10yrs ago but he wasn't interested in anything to do with thyroid issues. I am going to France at the weekend

Partial Thyroidectomy Tomorrow
Hi everyone. Sending out love and healing to everyone here suffering from thyroid issues! I have a uninodular toxic goiter/goitre that I first noticed at 17. Since my levels weren't "bad enough" to push surgery on me initially, I avoided the advice of multiple doctors over the years, mostly because

Good Morning! I am new here but I underwent a cardiac ablation for an SVT on this past Friday the 27th. How many people have even responded positively to Levothyroxine?
I've been wondering this as I've felt awful for the entire 9 years I was put on it after my partial thyroidectomy. My bones still crack but got worse over this period, I still feel horribly tired down to the bone and developed heart arrhythmia, mood swings etc. 9 years later and I need a total thyroidectomy

Thyroid lump 20 years after partial thyroidectomy
Hi I had a partial thyroidectomy 22 years ago when I was 19 as I had a large cyst wrapped around my thyroid which needed to be drained by syringe every 6 months. As far as I'm aware, this hasn't caused subsequent problems until now. A few months ago, I noticed a lump in my neck on the opposite side

Hi is there anyone out there that has had a cardiac ablation for AF. If so can you tell me how you were after your procedure and how long it took for you to feel well again. Also if you were on a beta blocker. I really need to chat to someone who has experienced post AF

Partial thyroidectomy
I would like information on anyone who has had surgery for partial thyroidectomy and would love to hear about the recovery time and what to eat and drink after the surgery.

Footballer has ablation
Manchester United captain Micheal Carrick 36 has had to undergo a cardiac ablation after tests had shown that he had abnormal heart rhythms. He is now recovered from the procedure and is looking to get fit and back in contention for the team. This is truly insperational to us all and we should take great
