Aspirin & Edoxaban after surgery
I am a bit worried about bleeds & healing . I recently had a carotid endarterectomy & but back on my edoxaban and aspirin added. Surely this has a risk of bleeding & is it likely to affect the healing process as clotting is part of the healing process? Anyone able to comment please.

How to stay Afib free after a successful cardiac ablation.
Having had an ablation last October I am AFib free for now and want to stay that way for as long as I can. Are my old Afib triggers still to be avoided? Is high intensity exercise OK? Grateful for any comments or anecdotes!

EDoxaban & Aspirin
I have recently been put on Aspirin 75mg after carotid endarterectomy to clear a blockage in my carotid artery. How dangerous is this & is it likely I need to remain on both ?

Thyroidectomy (partial)
Hi everyone. I have had a thyroid nodule for at least 10/15 years but it has only been investigated the last 3 or so. I am scheduled for a partial thyroidectomy (whole of right side) and was wondering what advice anyone had for the recovery? I have a 6 yr old and a 2 1/2 year old at home. Did you suffer

Blood tests normal....but things are anything but!
I have been suffering all the symptoms of Hypothyroid for a few years - fatigue, hair loss, weight gain, swelling and puffiness, dry skin and regular oral thrush, which i understand to be a sign of a lowered immune system. I have also developed intolerances to food and wine. As my mother and her 3

Ablation follow up/complications
I was due to have a cardiac Ablation last Friday (11th May). During the procedure they carried out the electrophysiology study but then decided they could not do the full Ablation because it was too risky. Has this happened to anyone else? If so have you now had any other forms of treatment for your

In and out of Afib.
I had a cardiac ablation on April 30th. After procedure, I was in normal sinus rhythm for 4 days. The last two days, I'm experiencing a couple afib episodes, and back to sinus today. I hope it's normal.

If GP isn’t sympathetic....
My medicheck results are better than I thought they’d be ! Having said that it doesn’t take away the fact I’ve many symptoms of hypothyroidism. I’ve been wondering, IF the GP says I’m fine, would it be in my interest to think about NDT ? I’m not on any thyroid medication at present. Just to add, I had

How long does cardiac ablation typically last for re-entrant tachycardia?
I thought I was free of it( re-entrant tachycardia) after the last ablation however my other Cardiologist ( not the E.P. cardiologist) said it usually lasts for about a year. I hope I heard that wrong!

Absorbtion with ileostomy
I had an ileostomy in January, partial thyroidectomy 37 years ago and have been on Levothyroxine for approx 33 years. Feel hypothyroid, latest results TSH <0.05 which is normal for me but freeT4 has risen to 26 from 23.2 in December so now considered to be hyperthyroid. If ileostomy is causing poor

A need for stents? Really?
So, in my previous posts (rants) I explained my husband had been taken to hospital whilst working in Aruba. He was diagnosed with 'probable' angina and given 6 lots of tablets (just take them with no explanation!) and GTN spray. He has had absolutely no pain since and had just carried on as normal with

Full or partial thyroidectomy
Hi all, just really interested to hear what dose of meds you are on if you've had total or partial thyroid removal. When your having your blood tests at GP surgery do they make note on the Lab forms that you have had a thyroidectomy along with the Levo dose you are now taking?

ENDO ASKING MY GP TO CONSIDER TAKING OVER PRESCRIBING OF LIOTHYRONINE
Postscript on my blood results Endo asking my GP to consider taking over prescription. Hospital happy to continue to provide supervision of thyroid function tests and advise regarding dose change. Endo put me on T3 because there was a clinical need. They could not get my TSH suppressed on levo alone
