Which tests required???

I had a partial thyroidectomy in 1984. Since then I have had many of the typical symptoms of hypothyroidism. After years of asking my GP I was finally put on a low dose of Levothyroxine about 10yrs ago but he wasn't interested in anything to do with thyroid issues. I am going to France at the weekend & my sister has arranged an appointment with her Dr. I can get any tests done I want (as long as I pay). So, can anyone suggest the best tests to get so that I can get a comprehensive picture of the state of my throid & adrenals. Thanks.

TSH - FT4 - FT3 - Anti-bodies TPO & Tg. Also test for B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD. Remember to fast and not take your Levo before the test but after - lots of posts here about it :-)

CRP is an inflammatory marker and a good test to have - also Homocysteine.

We had had a very mixed collection of reports about buying liothyronine without prescription in France.

Some seem to have no problem. Others are refused repeatedly in multiple pharmacies.

We have not go to the bottom of this apparent inconsistency. Certainly seems over-confident to promise it for pennies without a prescription.
