How long before ablation to start Edoxaban?
I know some years ago, when preparing for a
cardioversion
, they said to take the anticoagulant Rivaroxaban for one month prior. But I was younger then, and it was a different drug. What have others been told?

Recently found I am likely to have ARVC
I’ve had an episode of AF in past that very almost required a
cardioversion
and my latest heart echo seems to point to ARVC. I’m awaiting further investigation to confirm the diagnosis but it seems to be fairly evident to be ARVC from my GPs understanding and the specialist heart echo report.

stopping apixaban
I have recently had a
cardioversion
and as far as I’m aware I’m still in NSR but am very unsure about stopping the apixaban! I’m waiting for a telephone call from the consultant to discuss this I don’t know which is worse living with the difficulties I have or risking a possible stroke!

Post Amiodarone and waiting for ablation
I had a
cardioversion
in June and as far as I'm aware I'm still in sinus rhythm. I'm on the list for an ablation at the John Radcliffe in Oxford. I had a couple of blood tests, at my request, whilst still on Amiodarone. I've read you should continue to be monitored after stopping it..

Heart failure and sleep
Currently under review with cardiologist and probably looking at a pacemaker CRT upgrade and
cardioversion
however until this happens I'm struggling on top of other things with my sleep.

Holter Monitor
The reason for this is after my
cardioversion
which only lasted about 2 hours I went back into afib. Howerver after about 4 days during the night while in bed I was in perfect sinus rythem.

Coming off Amiodarone
I had a
cardioversion
a few months later (delayed thanks to doctors and nurses strikes). That worked and I felt better so am on the list for an ablation in Oxford. I came off amiodarone in October.

Persistent afib treatment options, can't tolerate Amiodarone - so many questions...
Plan was take Amiodarone then
cardioversion
. My husband can't tolerate Amiodarone (tried twice) so we are now a bit stuck and waiting for the hospital to get back to us.

Atrial Fibrillation is back!
After 2 months of normal sinus rhythm following a
cardioversion
in November, my AF has returned today. I took a car full of waste to the recycling centre which included 2 large bags of garden clippings so my heart rate was pumping a bit after carting them from the car to the skip.

bisoprolol reduction
I think I was a little naive but trusted the hospital to reduce to 1.25 after my
cardioversion
he said my heart rate was lower so to do this.

The next step is a
Cardioversion
which is on 8th February. I am worried because I have never been so out of breath with any exertion, getting up from a chair, bending down, even walking from one room to the next.

Amiodarone and AF
I had
cardioversion
in August at Bart’s to restore sinus rhythm after being in persistent AF for 6 months. Been on amiodarone and pleased to report not a single flutter since. Had transformed my life. Cardiologist wants to reduce my dose and later change me to another drug.

Pre ablation meds
Went to Papworth Hospital in June and had
cardioversion
which worked straight away. However had overnight AF in early September. EP said if I had another before Xmas should go for ablation as better to catch it early.
