Heart meds and sunlight sensitivity

I am currently taking these post cardioversion (procedure successful early November 2022) meds:

morning:

Entresto sacubitril/valsartan 24mg/26mg

Apixiban 5mg

Bisoprolol Fumarate 5 mg

Spironolactone 25mg

Dapagliflozin 10mg

evening:

Entresto sacubitril/valsartan 24mg/26mg

Apixiban 5mg

Bisoprolol Fumarate 5 mg

During the daytime I experience intense vision disturbance (no light filtering to the point where i feel blinded and overwhelmed by whiteness, creating imbalance and dizziness) from sun light. At night bright lights from car headlights etc also creates this a bit. While I am in consultation with my cardiologist to rectify. this issue, most like due to one or more of the meds I wanted to investigate.

thank you -- Mr T Moore

Ah thank you - that is interesting. I did have cataract surgery in both eyes in the 1990s with one eye having detached retina surgery as well.

Did you have replacement lenses? I have had IOL and defective ones

I take exactly the same medication (highest dose of Entresto) as you but do not experience vision issues. I wish you well.

Have you seen an optician about this? Always worth checking out.

Actually he would need an ophthalmologist.

Would need to be referred by either optician - some of whom are opthalmolgists or by GP to see an aopthalmologist.

Hi, I do experience the dazzle effect and I am on the same meds for heart failure. Except for Spironolactone which I could not tolerate. None of the health professionals know why. I think it comes when my blood pressure drops to the low 70s or when I put my arms above my head. I got the optician to put a tint on my spectacle lenses which has helped a bit. I try to look down and sit if possible when it happens. I would love it if there is a better solution. My cardiologist seems to think I am imaging it. Good luck
