Possible fluid retention.

Check your medications for possible side effects and consult with your doctor/nurse about the possibility of taking a diuretic. Do inform them of the swelling.

Any swelling in the leg should be investigated, it could be water retention but you need a diagnosis as there are other causes.

It could be fluid retention, or it could be something more serious, so I would report it to your doctor right away. If the swelling is accompanied by pain or redness, I would head to the A&E now to rule out DVT. I had similar (no pain or redness) and it turned out to be from the Diltiazem I was prescribed, which is fairly common.

Hi

Pop them up on 2 pillows at night.

I take Diltiazem 120mg AM but it doesn't give me swollen feet/wrists. But driving in heat 2-3-4 hours even with stops and driving.

Bobify. I have occasional swelling in left leg in particular, but incidence of it has dropped dramatically this summer. I ascribe the better health to using my "Drano" MRM Cardio Chelate. In another post I explained how my Cardiologist was delighted and amazed that my condition and skin tone had improved dramatically. In July he wanted to do an angioplasty to potentially unblock heart arteries which a CT scan with the radioactive solution in my veins showed saying heart function at 40%. I didn't want to do that and at that time I had swelling several times a week.

I didn't want to take the "water pills" prescription after reading that so many have other issue while using them.

1. You can try pumping your feet to and from the frony of your legs which will help pump the "fluid/blood" helping the heart.

2. Look into taking the MRM Cardio Chelate or other company's version which has the EDTA in it that acts like Drano in the blood vessels.

Good luck and Merry Christmas,

A similar thing happened to me after a Cardioversion on 24 October which only lasted 4 days. Felt really bad and noticed ankle and calf swelling for the first time ever. It lasted for about 2 weeks but swelling has now stopped and now feel back to normal.
