A new experience!
I had my third
cardioversion
(alter 4 ‘failed’ ablations) a week ago today. I then enjoyed 4 days of NSR but on Sunday evening, my Kardia suddenly told me that the arrythmia had returned. Disappointment yet again!

After my pre op this morning I have decided to go ahead with the
cardioversion
next Thursday. I can’t say I won’t be anxious and wary but I think it will be for the best.

Thank you everyone for taking the trouble to reply to my post, it’s given me food for thought and has put my mind at rest somewhat.

I have an appointment for a
cardioversion
pre op on Thursday after being told after an angiogram that everything the arteries were fine but I was in persistent AF.

He is on the waiting list for a
Cardioversion
. After waiting 6 months for a second ablation and an 18 day trip to hospital for furosemide treatment they now seem to feel he is unsuitable for a second ablation although we can't see to get to the bottom of why.

Cardioversion with amiodarone or straight to ablation?
CV 24/2 failed after 1 week. Heart function team suggest course of amiodarone combined with further CV after a few months of this medication. They have left it with me to consider what I would prefer to do. Either proceed with the above ( with a list of potential side effects which are impossible

Paroxysmal Afib Anlation6
In all I've had 3 major Afib bouts over the years involving evacuations and the last one a
cardioversion
. It was 18 months ago in California. Finally I was seen by a cardiologist in UK and he almost immediately offered me a further ablation saying something could by now need updating (my word!)

AF & Bradycardia
and the device has been saying I am in AF, but yesterday when I checked it was 45 bpm and has continued being around 40 bpm today and the device is saying I have Bradycardia, I wanted to know if this is common with people in AF, is it something I should be concerned about and if it will affect the

Few issues
Seen consultant yesterday and looking at upgrading PM to CRT (3 lead) and
cardioversion
also stated that cardiomyopathy could be an instigator. Had bloods taken but not sure what for, in permanent AF.

a week later
After discussing the options he recommended having a
cardioversion
which was performed on Monday and now I‘m back in NSR. I have to take Amiodrone for 2 months and Bisoprolol twice a day instead of once.

Ablation
However last march I went into highly symptomatic persistent AF which did not reverse before undergoing a successful
cardioversion
in August. I've been on amiodarone since then originally at 200mg and reduced in December to 100mg.

Here We Go Again
Four days ago, I reported that after 4 ‘failed’ ablations, I had undergone a ‘successful’
cardioversion
for what my EP said was atrial tachycardia. For four days, I enjoyed normal sinus rhythm and a heart rate of between 50 and 70bpm. However, my joy was short lived.

Exercise induced AF
I’ve had a great 4 years since my AF diagnosis, able to live pretty normally in terms of my choice of exercise with 3 years AF free following my
cardioversion
and just a few increasing episodes of paroxysmal AF in the last year.

Pacemaker delay
Hi, My husband had a
cardioversion
on the 10th November, his heart has been in AF for years. A pacemaker appointment was then made for the 5th December, he has now just had a phone call to say that because he had the
cardioversion
he cannot have the pacemaker fitted.

Waking in afib & first time PIP experience, love to hear experiences of others...
Anyway, PIP didn't work, ended up with another
cardioversion
, getting fed up now, although quite liking the anesthetic now!

Exercise Motivation
However my persistent AF returned in September and I am back on Sotalol with a
cardioversion
planned for next week. However, I find I have lost all motivation to exercise and as a result have put on a few pounds. If it wasn't for my dog I don't believe I would do much walking at all.
