After Some Super Advice on This Forum
Firstly, thank you for all your advice on my last thread, needless to say I took it onboard and proceeded to get another blood test with the advised timings and vitamins etc. So once again I hope I can ask for your advice again, I'll post Januarys and now March's, they look better to me, but as I said

Do Drs get a bonus for prescribing certain drugs ?
Does anybody know if Gps get a hand out for prescribing statins ? There has been a lot of controversy in regard to this topic. Late yesterday afternoon I had a call from my surgery. It was a Dr I had never heard of or had I spoken to her before. She was suggesting I were put on statins! I asked for

Hi, Following my last post, I have visited my GP due to ongoing palpitations. She was very sympathetic and did me a full run of blood tests. All came back ‘normal’ my TSH even slightly down to my last test. Bloods were taken at 9.15am as advised. I am not prescribed any thyroid medication and take 3000

Night sweats etc.
I am tapering down from 30mg pred since April 2022 and I am now down to 3mg (4mg alternate days). I am finding I am having a lot of night sweats. Has anyone found else had this problem and if so how long it lasts for? I have to add that I have recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis, and didn't know

Vitamin D
I’ve managed to raise my Vitamin D from 60 to 110 by taking for three months 3000 IU D3 with 100 mg K2. I’ve just begun to have unpleasant almost daily diarrhoea which I can only put down to the D3 - although it’s odd that it’s taken 3 months to become an issue. It was time for me to have a break

Stopping Injections After 3 Loading Doses
Hi! I’m new here and learning so much from reading all of the posts here. I was diagnosed with low B12 levels earlier on this year, although my PA antibodies came back negative. I was put on injections, and was meant to have 6 over 2 weeks followed by 1 every 3 months, however my GP had to stop them

My daughter has recently been diagnosed with dyslexic tendencies. She is almost 7yrs old in year 2 of primary school. I had her B12 tested last year due to recurrent mouth ulcers. My brother will go for his second treatment on June 19th. Spoke to the PA yesterday. She said he’ll now get 80% dosage instead of 100%, because they’ve found out it has the same effect. Anyone else hear about this? All labs are good….PSA down from 250 to 215, hemoglobin is at 8.5, calcium is slightly

B12 orders
Can I just ask, is there is a general concensus on which is the best type of B12 to order if you want to SI. Different people seem to be using different forms and I wondered if there was a general recommendation, do they all do the same thing or is it a case of trial and error to see what works best

Latest blood test results. Advice please!
Hello. I just wanted to ask some advice as the last two blood tests I have had showed a borderline underactive thyroid, but the GP won't do anything until the TSH is over 10. My previous blood test showed a reading of 5.9 mu/L. However, they decided to do yet another repeat blood test to rule out anything
