Does anyone test food for gluten on request in UK?
Hi, I've heard the Australian coeliac society run tests for gluten in foods that have glutened people but claim to be gluten free - they offer this as part of their service. In US I've seen someone called Gluten Free Watchdog who does similar. Do we have anyone in UK who does this? I'm perplexed by the

Alendronic Acid
I have a telephone appointment with my GP on Monday and want to tell her I’d prefer to stop taking Alendronic Acid. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis, probably brought on by prednisolone which I’ve been taking since March 2020. Started at 15mg, tapering in 1/2mg, now at 8mg. My Dexa scan in January

Doctor refuses to test my vitamin D level
I have Hashimoto’s and have had a coronary calcium score scan putting my in the ‘moderate to high risk’ group of a coronary event. I also had a very small stroke three years ago. For these reasons I decided to take daily a 100mcg vitamin D supplement to protect against a poor outcome should I get Covid

My Deficiencies
Hi All, I've been struggling for last few months not because of blood sugar related issues but with some other deficiencies. It was a bit hard to find to what deficiencies I have. I was feeling very tired[particularly after taking food] for the past few months. I have had similar symptoms like this.

Vitamin K2
I bought this when I was prescribed D3 & calcium for osteopenia, I didn’t take it and just stuck with my vitaminD3 with K2 drops. I’m nearly out of my drops but was thinking of ordering some vitamin D3 and using these alongside as they were expensive. NRV is 267 )Any advice very welcome ☺️

Advice on Calcium Supplements Please
Two years ago I fell and fractured my wrist. A follow up dexa scan revealed osteoporosis. I was automatically prescribed Alendronic Acid which I fortunately refused as my astute GP noticed a high level of calcium on my bloods (it would have actually been damaging to my bones) and referred me to en endocrinologist

Blood test results
I seem to be on my own with management of levothyroxine & calcium, having had my Endocrinologist appointment cancelled & non cooperative dr since moving counties. I am 77 & had thyroid & parathyroid removed due to thyroid cancer many years ago. These are my recent results - Serum TSH level 0.14 min/L

No diabetes or hypertension but GFR/Creatinine cratering
What could be wrong with my kidneys if I'm not a diabetic and my high blood pressure has been completely controlled for years (129/78). A1c was normal, blood sugar normal (89), no protein in urine, BUN low, BUN/Creatinine normal, normal calcium, and potassium. My GFR was 54 and my Creatinine was 1.39

Problems associated with the diagnosis of GCA
In response to a mini-rant I had one day on a forum, I went off for a surfing session and found an article on the Johns Hopkins site with case studies on GCA. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/gec/studies/gca.html It is worth going to the link because it describes the history of a few patients and the
