If not Albutrix then what?
I'm considering giving this very low (veg) protein diet + keto supplement a whirl to see whether it has an effect on the numbers. Lee Hull has his keto supplement Albutrix with the selling point being its low calcium as well as low nitrogen. But it doesn't appear to be cheap at $179 a month. Then again

Undiagnosed and positive ANA
I joined in 2013 with a positive ANA Test 1:80 Nucleolar pattern suggesting schleroderma. I had follow up tests and no diagnosis. I’ve had 3 failed Endoscopes, as I woke up from sedation grabbing the camera, so Gastro has never found out, why I choke when eating, barium swallow confirmed GERD, I have

I’m new and I struggle to sleep
Hi I have severe sleep problems which have got worse. I am really trying to look after my health but struggling to know what to do. I was told I had a fatty liver after an ultrasound 9 years ago and told not to worry because lots of people had it ( I was having a check to make sure I didn’t have a gall

Parathyroid Adenoma
Does anyone here have any experience with this? During an ultrasound of my thyroid an incidental finding of a small lesion was found which the doc says suggests parathyroid adenoma. My calcium levels were slightly low and then normal on my recent bloods.

Scared and worried 😟
I have had long covid from Nov 2020 but my main concern is results of cardic coronary angiogram showed narrowing of main artery and high calcium levels. He has increased BP tablets as it is high also arranged me to get bloods to check cholesterol and sugar levels. Any advice or guidance will be greatly

Coronary vasospasm - palpitations at night
I was diagnosed with coronary vasospasm in hospital following a cardiac arrest at home in January this year. I was put on lots of medication including statins, calcium channel blocker, nitrates, aspirin etc. I had been doing well since February with no real symptoms but woke up last night with palpitations

Few quick questions if anyone would be kind enough to reply
Hi, Doc has prescribed Adcal-D3 tablets. twice daily. says on the packet each tablet contains 1500mg calcium carbonate (=600mg calcium) and 400 I.U. cholecalciferol (=10 mg vitamin D3). and yet ive noticed some people on here are taking far more than that. Is this the correct dose? and why would

Tendons - calcium
Hi I was wondering if anyone had calcium in their shoulder tendons?? If so what helped it?? An ultrasound found I had this condition plus osteoarthritis. I’m really struggling with this condition it is extremely painful to move arm and can’t sleep on that arm. I’ve had surgery 12 years on that shoulder

Supplements
Does anyone take added supplements alongside their medication? I am still being diagnosed but the consensus seems to be I have angina and am on Propranolol (originally for migraine prevention before my diagnosis) and Atorvastatin, just been reduced from 80mg to 20mg, as well as low dose aspirin and

New member osteoporosis questions
I recently posted re Alendronic Acid and have received some helpful replies. So encouraged by that I am here with further questions. I was diagnosed around 3 years ago with "mild" osteoporosis. This followed a stress fracture to my ankle (had just taken up running). I declined medication and sorry to

Calcium supplements
About a week ago Mrs Nails put up a wonderfully clear and informative post ,about Alendronic Acid. (Mrs Nails, your work is so much appreciated.) I was very interested to note she says supplements of calcium and Vit D are to be taken AS WELL AS bisphosphonate, if you have osteoporosis, which I do ( lowest

Has any experienced a red neck?
I have occasionally been getting red neck where my thyroid is located. I usually get it at night and it is sensitive to touch. I wonder if this is related to my hypothyroidism. My thyroid levels are within range but my parathyroid and calcium have been high but since no nodule was presented on my ultrasound

New to Alendronic Acid!
Hi - I'm new here and looking forward to learning more. Took my first ever Alendronic Acid tablet yesterday (weekly 70mgs) . Diagnosed osteoporosis (mild) about 3 years ago but elected no treatment. Then broke a wrist at Christmas so treatment advised as necessary. Had very strong reaction to first pill

Feeling very tired
My blood test was within range, so were thyroid levels, iron, ferritin and b 12 and d in range. Taking 50 mcg of levothyroxine& 5 mcg of liothyronine. Still losing lot of hair, got alopecia Aretera. I take a combo pill of calcium, vitamins D and zinc. Why am I feeling so tired lately? Anyone else

Benzo differences
So far I've been prescribed Xanax, klonopin and Ativan. While they are all effective, there a subtle and not so subtle differences between them. For me, Xanax addresses my social anxiety way more than the others, and seems to hit my brain/cognition more. Klonopin tends to be smooth and has the axiomatic

Prednisone and teeth.
Since I was diagnosed with PMR over 30 months ago, I, like everyone else, was given prednisone... During the past four months I have found a deterioration in my well kept and cared for teeth. Two of my front teeth have broken 🥲, and three teeth have started to wiggle. This is quite a shock to
