Found this in Waitrose (Bit pricey!) Lovely creamy Oat Kefir. Dairy, soya and gluten free... Edit ** Found a recipe they use milk grains**
£3!! and rather annoyingly really nice... heck I'm worth it! I only went in for a sneaky sushi treat 😏 Edit... actually cheaper in Waitrose as they sell the 500g where as the other only sell 250g £1.85 Oat Base (Water, Gluten-Free Oats (11%), Sunflower Oil, Salt), Coconut Cream, Stabilisers (Tapioca

Valium alternatives
So while in hospital for my barrage of tests etc I was taking high doses of slow K and slow Mag morning and night (magnesium and potassium) and Thiamine (high dose in the morning) and Valium in the morning and at night. The supplements I’ll get a clearer picture of from my nephrologist that originally

Scared about lung nodules

Update on Root Canal
It's done. It was fairly quick but a bit emotional. Steroids I suspect but the needle going into the front near my nose.......WOW even after I had some happy gas, it was still pretty awful. I was shaking and I felt like my heart was pounding 90 miles an hour! It also brought up a few memories of my childhood

TUMS as a good source of calcium? No.
I was told that
calcium
citrate
is best if you can’t get sufficient
calcium
from your diet. I am easily getting 1200 mg by drinking three 8 oz glasses of skim milk daily.

Here We Go Again?
As I write this my heart feels heavy accompanied by a dull ache and a small 'buzz' every so often. If it follows its normal progression it will start to feel squeezed during the next 24 hours & as though it has over done it at the gym and now feeling sore. This combination has seen me in A&E over 5

Help with blood test results please?
My hair has been falling out lately so I'm just back from doc's where she pronounced everything as "normal" but said my Thyroid and Calcium were both low. She didn't even test T3 so God only knows how she decided my Thyroid was low! The rest of the results were: Iron 116

New to the group
Hi there, I'm touched by how hard some of you are struggling with osteoporosis and it's a little scary to realize I may be facing such problems in the future. At present, I have osteopenia and take calcium pills and Vit. D. I was diagnosed recently, after taking calcium for many years, so that's concerning

Prednisolone and Osteoporosis
Hi all, looking for some advice/insights from you all. This is my first time posting… My question is, is it usual for prednisolone to affect bones quickly eg in about 8 months and have a T score of -3.8 in spine? Or has this happened so quickly for anyone else? Some background… I was diagnosed with

Calcium intake on holiday - supplements?
I get my calcium from diet normally. On holiday I usually buy calcium enriched soya milk to keep in fridge in room as a top up of the hotel food. This time im going on a cruise and considering supplements of say 500mg as a top up of my restaurant diet. Any recommendations of what to buy? It's only

Another blood test result to consider
Hi, I've just done a bluehorizon blood test mainly for my vitamins (can't get this on the NHS yet, though I'm trying), but had decided to have my thyroids done as well. As a quick recap had a thyroidectomy last year due to papillary nodules, I'm currently on 137.5mg Levo only (I was on 150mg 2 months

medication or not
I have osteoporosis. Since I have a sensitive stomach my doctor recommended Prolia. I read about side effects of Prolia and I don't want to take it. What are the alternatives? I would prefer to not go on medication and continue with exercise, diet, calcium / vit D3 - but my bone density continues to
