Calcium intake on holiday - supplements?

I get my calcium from diet normally.

On holiday I usually buy calcium enriched soya milk to keep in fridge in room as a top up of the hotel food.

This time im going on a cruise and considering supplements of say 500mg as a top up of my restaurant diet.

Any recommendations of what to buy?

It's only 2 weeks, so only a small bottle needed.

Or I could just get by with whatever calcium I can get from the food.

Would 2 weeks have any effect on my bones?

Thanks

I really don't think 2 weeks would have any effect on your bones. They're very slow to change and you're still going to be getting some calcium, even if not as much as usual. You may well find it's possible to get soya and/or oat milk on the cruise ship, as there are bound to be people on board who have to avoid dairy.

Thanks Met00. I think I'll just get by with the cheese, yogurt etc on offer. First cruise so unsure of what's on offer but understand there's a lot!

Always worry about my bones if can't follow my regular diet and exercise as I've worked so hard.

You're always a mine of information.

Thanks, but that doesn't mean I'm right! I do a lot of research and have made up my own mind about a whole range of things based on my reading, but scientists often don't agree with each other so it's very hard to be sure of anything!

you could take a box of Rennies indigestion tablets, they contain 500mg of calcium carbonate per tablet. You could take one or 2 a day......
