Valium for the flight
morning all. I had a CA in 2019 and it’s been a long road building up my confidence and trust again but I’m goin on holiday soon but Iam starting to get very nervous about flying. What if I take ill on plane? I’ve heard people take a Valium before flight if nervous. Would that be ok on my heart meds?

Anyone tried Tudca?
I heard about it recently. And I'm considering trying it for my NAFLD - and was wondering if anyone was familiar with it? As far as I can tell, we produce a similar substance in small amounts to help produce bile. This product is in a more concentrated form - but it caught my attention because it has

SOY ISOFLAVONES
Has anyone had any positive affects from taking soy isoflavones or other isoflavones for bone density? I see much research that shows Dairy products, especially milk actually makes your bone density worse due to the effects of acid factors of it. That we actually do not need dairy as adults and should

6 month transplant anniversary!!! Whoo hoo
Today is the 6-month anniversary of my kidney transplant. All continues to go very well with the exception of low white blood cell count. This has improved some but still comes in between 3.0 and 3.75 with 4.0 being the bottom of the normal range. Inspite of my low WBC count and pulling of bactrim 7

Constipation, Osteopaenia and Calcium
Hi, I have had osteopaenia for years, currently taking Calcium, magnesuim bisglycinate, D3, Vit K2 (natto), Boron. I also suffer from chronic constipation and wonder if the calcium I am taking as well as that in my diet (cheeses) is aggravating the problem. Some days my back is so painful from straining

Please give me strength.....
I feel as if I am dealing with complete and utter idiots. I have been waiting well over a year to be seen in gastrollogy. One of the consultants refered me back to my heamatologist and then knocked me off the wretched list ! I then had to go through the ordeal of being reinstated to be seen by a gastrologist

Has anybody noticed a change to Armour at all this year?Just wanting to rule out different possibilities to why I feel worse than usual.
I have had alot of additional tough stressors this year ,but my FT4 and FT3 have dropped despite a gradual dose increase. I am going through the list of possibilities suggested on this forum, but thought I also should ask the question has Armour changed this year, ie perhaps a filler? I understand '

I have just been diagnosed with Osteoporosis T -2.9 in hips and spine at 64 years old. Dr prescribed biophosphates as my risk of fracture is high (statistically in paper). The thought of having drugs with side effects makes me run a mile and so I started my research that brought me here. I was prepared

Hello, I’m new!
Hello, My GP thinks I have hyperthyroidism and has referred me to an an endocrinologist. My bloods were only slightly out of range, but have been going up over the last few months. In the meantime she has prescribed me Carbimazole and propranolol and I have had blood tests today for all my thyroid function

Biopsy results
As I suspected given the delay the biopsy results came back negative. Most recent blood tests now show ESR and CRP completely normal, having been very raised at initial presentation three weeks ago , and the initial ultrasound showed no signs. So was it /is it GCA or not? Who knows.? Some initial symptoms

Tumor Lysis Syndrome: What ( CLL ) Patients Need to Know (Leukemia and Lymphoma Society podcast)
Many of us are aware of the risk of tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) when we commence treatment, particularly with venetoclax and that the purpose of the venetoclax ramp-up, is to reduce the risk of TLS occurring. TLS can also occur with other CLL treatments, especially when they are fast acting, rapidly killing

anyone had prostap without Tibolone?
Hi I’m nearly 5 months in on the 3monthly prostap ( for fibroid shrinkage and pre hysterectomy) .. I didn’t take the Tibolone due to my fears for the first 3 months , but tried it on a half dose for about a month when I started the second 3month injection . Then I hated the side effects and they made

Calcium needed or not…?
So, reduced to 750 mg/day as
Calcium
citrate
and added in Vitamin D3 which got to be 4,000 IU / day based on blood results for 25 (OH)D now holding at 37 ng/ml. Also, took Vitamin K2 @ 100 mcg/day (vs reading in “1” paper that 180 mcg/day for women yielded beneficial results after 2 years.

Simulation
I had my markers and spaceoar placed last week and have an appointment for my simulation tomorrow. The valium helped with my procedure last week-I wish I had taken some before the biopsy. Will I need to take something before the simulation, or is it pain free?

Poor Conversion T4 to T3 update and supplement advice (Magnesium, Vit B complex, Vit C)
Nearly two months after my Medichecks blood tests and c5 weeks after GP blood test results (see previous posts) I've managed to get an answer from my GP - he has consulted the Endo at local hospital who says I'm a poor converter... Apparently current NHS guidance is to increase the amount of T4 I'm

NHS Attitudes on Worth of Life
My deep apologies to everyone for this post but I think it’s going to be a long one. Partly about PA and partly on NHS attitudes I am encountering about the worth of life. Warning for sensitive members, this post might be shocking. So you will know me through my posts regarding seizures and both neurological

A question about blood pressure
I recently had two episodes of a fast pulse rate following migraine and triptans taken to relieve it. With this came two readings of high blood pressure - - 181/98 and 179/110. I decided to contact the GP just to check on this and he agreed the fast heart rate could have been a reaction to the triptans

Hello, I know this question has been addressed in various ways before, but it would still help me to share my concern and see responses from the community. Thyroid and cortisol results
Hi all, just got results back from latest NHS bloods. Any thoughts? This was primarily to try and 'verify' my private blood test results showing above-range TSH (6.1) and high antibodies. Test was done just before 9am, fasting, currently not on any meds, no biotin week before. I also asked for serum
