Mirapexin
I'm embarrassed to say but I'm back on mirapexin after months of coming off it. I know it's wrong but I'm feeling human again. I know I will augment but I hope that maybe the new DA will be ready soon. I took 0.09mgs for 7days plus 100mgs pregabalin. Ive slept all night like a long. No Kratom, extra

Radioactive iodine alternatives?
I am struggling with letting the Endo perform a radioactive iodine procedure to treat my Graves’ disease. The idea that my thyroid will be destroyed is unsettling. Has anyone had the procedure and has it helped. What is it like to have the procedure?

Lugois iodine ( graves)
Hi everyone 🌹 Just doing a bit of research on graves thyrotoxicosis and the use of lugois iodine given before thyroidectomy, I had this solution 10mg 3 times a day via syringe with a small amount of water for around 6wks before surgery, my surgeon requested I attend the hospital twice a week to monitor

Post-ropinerole aches?
Hi. I “was” an RLS sufferer. On ropinerole. Augmented. So after seeing loads of chats about DAs, I’ve come off it - I followed my doctor’s prescribed steps, gradually reducing to nothing about a month ago. I also concentrated on upping my ferritin from the last measured value of 81. I was on codeine

Endo adding T3
Hello everyone. I’m from the USA and love to read all of your posts here. I get so much valuable information here than I do in my own country. I had thyroid cancer 3 1/2 years ago and my thyroid was removed. I’ve had several RAI treatments. Normally my simulated TSH returns back to below 1. This time

Weight loss
Hi everybody- hope you’ve all had a good weekend. We had the appointment with my brothers oncologist- he’s a lovely man. We have a lot of drugs to combat the cough - mainly steroids & a codeine linctus. Fingers crossed it works. Unfortunately his cancer is showing extensive spread to his right lung but

Can overdoing it cause a flair
I've been doing fine on 3mg for a while. I'm a gardener and was hedge cutting a low but wide hedge last Tuesday. Bending over, arms outstretched welding a heavy petrol hedge cutter. Bad idea on reflection. That evening I had bad back ache and since then it's got worse rather than better. I can literally

What pain killers can I take when on HU?
I am experiencing terrible pain in my left hip/ thigh and leg and slept for only one hour last night. I had an X-ray and blood tests on Wednesday and await the X-ray results. Nothing was broken luckily. But meanwhile I am taking paracetamol every four hours which really doesn’t do much. As I’m on Hydroxycarbamide

A few years ago I was taking iodine drops (only 5 drops in water a day) after seeing a naturopath because I live in Tasmania and was told that we were all iodine deficient here) but over a period of 3 years it built up in my system and caused me to have a very high reading of an over active thyroid.

Nothing works
I'm taking 300mgs pregabalin. I've tried even more but it doesn't work. Even with tramadol 50mgs it does nothing.I can be walking around until 3.30 to 5.30. I've taken tonight my 300 pregabalin and 2 OTC ibobrufen and codeine. I've just taken 15 mgs codeine and a teaspoon of Kratom. I'm still rubbing

Amitriptyline withdrawals
It is a long time since I have written a post here, mainly because I have been struggling with all sorts of problems! To re cap - I have had PMR for 10 years since I was 52, and basically never got below 10 mgs Pred. Many many flares trying to reduce. I have OA and have had 2 new hips and 2 new knees

Thyroid and the environment: exposure to excessive nutritional iodine increases the prevalence of thyroid disorders in São Paulo, Brazil
We have had many discussions about iodine - specifically, iodine supplementation. This paper from 2008, which I do not remember ever seeing, is quite interesting and is fully accessible. [i]

Hyperthyroidism first appointment
Hi This is a follow on from my previous post. First appointment with consultant and as my liver enzymes were raised, they are taking me off carb, done blood tests and said other options radio active iodine or surgery if liver still raised. Wouldn’t entertain the idea of the other medication when I mentioned

Multi Minerals
I’m considering trying a multi mineral supplement, any advice on which type to try, and should I avoid ones containing zinc and iodine. Thanks Morgan 2014
