Hi everyone, I've received the following test results and have been advised to take statins. Do you think these results look like I could get my levels down with diet and exercise? My surgery obviously doesn't think so... Many thanks

received text from my bp surgery to say my omeprazole has been stopped and I’ve been switched to lanzoprazole instead ? No idea why ? Maybe cost . Has this happened to anyone else ? Plus I’m now 5 weeks post stent and haven’t received cardiology follow up . Should I get this or is that it ? You just

Follow up to Monday CABG
First of all I want to thank you all for the messages of support i received before my operation on the 19th of February. The good news is that my triple bypass was a success ! I spent a total of 10 days in hospital, I had a few ups and downs, but overall I have had a positive experience, albeit sometimes

Post heart attack
Hello again, I posted on here a few months back regarding my husbands palpitations. Things have moved on a bit since then , he has been having random chest pain and saw the doctor, he reassured him that the pain was most likely muscle strain … not sure about that . He had recent blood tests as he is

Stopped meds for 2 weeks, or 6 weeks and hey presto I'm back to severely over. Now hairless. I found the name of the Consultant I'd been referred

Hey all. My first post on this one. Had an MRI last august after months of severe lower back pain. Turns out I had a large disc bulge in the lumbar area quite a few mm in length. The symptoms have seemed to lessen a lot. I had physio therapy for about a year, from Jan last year to December. I’ve

Home pressure monitor to hire?
Hi all,So 17 months after my trab surgery after everything has been stable, suddenly I'm getting frequent terrible headaches. My local optician tested my pressure for me but by the time I had the appointment the headache had subsided. The pressure was raised by 5 points so my hunch is it was on its way

Burning pain in right armpit (CABG 10/18/23)
Hi everybody!I had my CABG done last Oct and was wondering if anyone else has experienced a burning shooting pain in one or both of their armpits? It started about a month or so ago in my right armpit and has continously gotten a little stronger over time.

Well I made it to 27 months of upsa testing after my surgery and went from <0.01 to my first detectable of 0.01. Don’t know what this means but I guess the next few upsa tests will be telling. Maybe a lab variation maybe not.

Waiting for laparascopic Hysterectomy but struggling with womb and bowel symptoms
Hello everyone, I hopefully have a date next month for a laparoscopic Hysterectomy - waiting for confirmation in writing. Have been waiting for nearly 2 years on NHS. I am age 40, living in Scotland. I had none of these Gynae issues until about 3 years ago. Since then, I have had heavy bleeding, cramps

Should one asymptomatic and isolated AF episode be medicated?
Hi Forum. At my pre op assessment (for hip surgery) last Monday the ECG showed AF. No symptoms at all, I walk my dogs +/- 4 miles daily. My BP machine shows normal resting heart rate and BP. So on strength of one ECG my GP has prescribed anticoagulant tabs which I know is for the AF risk of clotting.
