Hi everyone looking for help from those that have done the long protocol... did the buserelin delay the start of your period and if so, by a few days or weeks? Thank you x

Hi. Yes, during the long protocol, it is shutting your hormones down so you can be scanned for any cysts before starting stimulation drugs. Good luck. Diane

Hi, yes it delayed my period by about 10 days. It started 2 days before the baseline scan which they expected. It was much heavier than usual. I had several cysts on the first scan so they extended treatment for another week. Good luck 🤞🏻
