Depression and Apathy
I’m 54 and newly diagnosed. I’m learning a lot here with this forum, thank you all. I started on B1 with Dr. C a few weeks ago. Not seeing a big improvement yet. My biggest challenge these days are non-motor symptoms. I’m dealing with some pretty tough challenges with depression and apathy. Many people

Here we go again
Daughter is 5 1/2. We’ve had a very good run with no accidents until this past week. We’re now getting very soft (large) accidents. She did a large poo in the toilet yesterday but soiled badly today. She had been on 2 sachets per day of laxido which has been working fine. Should I increase the dose?

I wanted to share this to help others. Firstly i have suffered constipation and bloating for about 20 years and for 10 years have taken laxatives to go. I started with Senna and then when they stopped working went onto dulcolax liquid until recently even that didnt work too well. Basically i suspect

10 year old wetting the bed again... pull ups?
So my 10 year old son was dry around 8 and was now only having the odd nighttime accident (3-4 times a year). He has daytime accidents but his bedwetting was more or less sorted. For the last week he has had an accident ever single night. His sheets are drenched in thr morning and it has been difficult

Night terrors
Hi everyone, Need some advice regarding my 5 and a half year old daughter. Since September she wakes up at night between 10 and 11 PM, drenched in cold sweat, shivering, teeth chattering and scared witless. She lashes out with her arms when I try to hold her close and can't tell me what had scared her

Could she be constipated??
We’ve been battling wee accidents fir nearly 3 years now..... just when I think things are improving it gets worse. I’m in contact with a continence nurse and due to see her in a couple of weeks. Our last app we started oxybutinin for overactive bladder which was disasterous after 10 days -accidents

Hi there, dont really know where to start save for the fact that my partner suffered brain injury from two bleeds on the brain after a fall. As well as some basic skills and memory loss, he has had a massive change in personality from being the nicest person on the planet to being aggressive and impossibly

How to get some nutrition if you have IBS, Celiac, Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis, Radiation Enteritis, or any other digestion disorder.
If you have IBS or any of its "cousin" gut diseases such as Ulcerative Colitis, you might not absorb nutrients well. Diarrhea in particular will flush out all nutrients, either natural or in supplement for. You gut microflora might also be weak from constant diarrhea, which will make things worse. I

Family tensions
Last night my stepson (adult, 38, lives with us, learning disabled, lost his job of 20 plus years because of his temper) had a temper tantrum, ranting about how he wanted to start 2019 with a job. Tough times
2 1/2 years down the line, and my dads hypoxic brain injury just seems as bad as it was 2 years ago. His brain has improved slightly, but he still has us up almost every single night all through the night confused wanting to go for walks or thinking he has to be in work when he doesn’t realise he can

Three days ago the niggles started nagging. I’ve gone up on Pred 3 to 5. Improving. How long can I or should stay at 5.
Don't know where my post went. I have really been lucky with my PMR journey. Not complaining. But in the past week I've been feeling wonky. I should have predicted it. I've taken on too much, physically and mentally in the last several weeks. I lost my pacing and just kept crossing my fingers that

My beautiful husband has become another star in the sky
My darling husband of only 2 months lost his battle with PSP this evening. I had managed to get him home on 17th Dec after nearly 5 months in hospital. Unfortunately his SATs dropped over the last couple of days and I couldn’t get them up in the early hours despite suctioning through his tracheostomy

Champix can be disruptive after a while...
Hi there; hope everyone had a good Christmas. I did okay on not smoking and over-eating, but last night was tough. I went to my sister's for Christmas Day supper. Everyone was drinking wine, eating desert and the baked goods were on display. After supper I had an urge to step outside away from the noise

Could this be IBS?
My mum is a sufferer of IBS, I am currently going through test for many repoductive issues but am beginning to wonder if my problem is IBS. I get very sudden urges for needing the toilet, sometimes mild but also sometimes chronic stomach discomfort before needing the toilet. I also suffer from diarrhoea

How to get off Madopar125
I'm 70 years old man living in Australia. In recent years I found my body movements a bit clumsy as I always bumped into things and knocked down things. I could not control although my mind is clear. I went to a neurolohgist and I am told I have Parkinson's disease. He prescribed me Madopar125. I started

Just read article that Kefir (drink) is better than Probiotic yogurt for IBS and IBS-C. Does anyone take this..is it helpful for IBS, IBS-C?
Hi, I have severe and chronic constipation, and nothing helps..nothing! I have tried it all. My last options are 2-3 stool softeners a day (Colace), and Senna once a week on Sundays which is an excellent laxative. But it disrupts my life, I have been on once a week Senna for about 8 years. Stool softeners
