Verzenio treatment
My question is how many of you have been on Verzenio for years? And is it possible to NOT have diarrhea on it? My doctor is replacing Ibrance with Verzenio and I am quite apprehensive about it. My doc is starting me on the lowest strength Verzenio. I was on the lowest strength Ibrance too. I

Bone scan total body
hi ladies, I have a question I have MBC to my neck and I am on Ibrance 100, faslodex and xgeva for about four years. The treatment is working so far! My previous ONC used to order MRI and CT scans two times a year. My new ONC now ordered Bone scan total body. Even if I don’t feel pain and I don’t

MBC Medicare Drug Plan
Does anyone have advice on Medicare Part D drug plans in the US? I am switching from Ibrance to Piqray in November and all 24 drug plans for my area show an out of pocket cost for me at $60K/ year! I cannot afford $5000/ month for just one drug so I am in the process of applying for manufacturer's assistance

Update on shoulder surgery
A few weeks ago when I posted that I was having a difficult time with my PMR journey many of you replied with positive thoughts and support. That helped me so much. I mentioned at the time that I was awaiting shoulder surgery and some of you asked me to let you know how I got on. I had the surgery

Something Seems Off With my Smartwatch Heart rate Readings
I was given an IPhone Smart Watch for Christmas, but just started using it, the past couple of months. My question is with the accuracy of the heart rate readings. I usually wait at least 1 & 1/2 hours, after taking my Cartia, before I start a brisk 35-60 min. walk. Sometimes, my heart rate will register

Atrial Tachycardia
After two temporarily successful cardioversions (6 months af free each time) I had an ablation in May and all seemed to be going well. I remained happily in sinus rhythm for over three months until suddenly, out of the blue, my heart rate and blood pressure rocketed and I ended up in the Resus Department

Update on MRI/CT scans: Trying to be strong 💪🏽 !
Hi MBC Chics! This chic has been trying to wrap my head around it all. Liver met (one tumor) has increased in size a bit. Cancer in the pleural cavity around the right lung is thickening. So changing from Ibrance to Affinitor ( a chemo drug pill 💊) with the Faslodex injections 💉 with the hope to stop

newly diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.
Hi all, I was diagnosed with metastatic breastcancer a few months ago. Becsuse of my age, 75, the doctors here did not think I needed chemo. I was happy , because I saw my mother go through that and it was really awful. The cancer is also in my lymphnodes and I just got the news that it has spread

Markers have jumped from 86 to 156 in 1 month
Hello everybody here. I got some news from my regular monthly blood test on Friday. My blood CA markers have jumped from 86 to 156 during this month. They’ve been steadily climbing since last year in November last they were 56. So, my scans two months ago showed that there was nothing different

Kyphoplasty?
Has anyone had this done? I’m having severe back pain and can only stand or walk for about 5-10 min max and have to sit. It’s really bad when I sleep. I’m going to the dr Tuesday to see if I’m a candidate. I’m on Ibrance 125 and anastrozole. Any help I would be grateful. I have read about it and I’m

Ibrance & Endometrial Cancer?
Hi, I am currently in remission after 2 recurrences of endometrial cancer. My cancer is ER + and PR+ and HER2-. I have taking Ibrance and anastrozole for nearly 5 years. Out of curiosity, is anyone else doing the same? I’ve been hanging out with the metastatic breast cancer folk because I haven’t found

Anyone get PN Nerve Block without steroid?
Hello, I have read various studies PubMed etc. that say there is little difference in pain result whether the nerve block is done with steriod or without. Just lidocaine. My pain doc has me scheduled for a block with just lidocaine, and I am wondering if that is just for diagnostic purposes. ? I

post surgical neuropathic pain
hey guys, I’m just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to help with nerve pain? I’m currently on gabapentin and naproxen and I have been given oxycarbazepine to take when I have “severe breakthrough pain”. However this just makes me feel tired after taking one so I can’t take it when I am working

Nail fungus
I have an increasing problem with my big toe nail, such that on the last trip to the foot health practitioner, she cut away about half the nail. She described it as a fungal infection. The nail has thickened and become brittle and doesn't adhere to my toe. I have purchased several products from the pharmacy

Update
I diagnosed with Flutter end of June 22 after a couple of trips to A&E. prescribed Edoxaban 30mg with Bisosporol 2.5 daily reduced to 1.25 mg daily as I already have low BP. Episodes of possible Flutter are happening at least once a week. I do have etopics apparently and one ECG showed narrow tachycardia

Update: https://healthunlocked.com/share-metastatic-support/posts/144812485/ibrance-schedule-5-2-days.
A couple of months ago I was struggling with the dosage schedule of IBrance 100 mg. I wrote (extensively) about the 5/2 schedule that I hoped would mitigate the Low ANC numbers and poor RBC/WBC counts. I was extremely worried about having to wait two weeks before restarting my cycles. First thank
