Hi, just wanted some advice really. Had ultrasound and it come back I have LBBB and moderate left ventricular systolic dysfunction (by echocardiogram). Cardiologist said sometimes the echo can often over-estimate the degree of impairment so will have to wait until MRI results to come back. Has anyone else had the MRI and it’s come back all ok just with LBBB and not the left ventricular? Any help is much appreciated xx

I had the same diagnosis over two years ago, but did not seem to have any real problems. With medication and a pacemaker, there has been a huge improvement in my measurements, although I still feel much the same. It's a bit scary to be told something like this, but it is manageable, and can improve. I hope the MRI results are good.
Left bundle branch block is diagnosed after ECG and I a surprised ultrasound showed it. LBBB is to be taken seriously particularly the 3rd degree block. Many clinicians tend to ignore it in absence of chest pain but that is not wise. In 1995 I suffered a syncope. Luckily it was at home and did not sustain serious injury just bruising over chest wall. However, I am still paying for after all these years because LBBB was not taken seriously and developed complete heart block 15 years later. Now a days clinicians do take it seriously and do follow up.
