Autoimmune lung disease?

Anyone know anything about it? I had never heard of it, but it is one of the diagnosis they are currently looking at.

I have been ill since the second vaccine, high blood pressure, veins popping, my other 7 autoimmune conditions much worse, high heart rate, and now my legs give up after a few yards walking. My oxygen saturation is fine, my breath tests normal, but now they want to do a bronchoscopy, which does not sound like fun.

If anyone here has had one, please could you let me know how it went and any tips or tricks?

They said nothing to eat or drink for 8 hours before hand - if that includes coffee, they could be in trouble!

Hi Serenfach

I can't see what your other 7 autoimmune conditions are but in general terms yes, some autoimmune conditions can affect the lungs. Lupus in particular often affects the lungs. Asthma is actually an autoimmune condition.

Basically your immune system can attack any part of your body, what label your problem gets given reflects the pattern of damage your immune system is inflicting on your body and also can be related to what triggered it.

e.g. coeliac is gluten triggered, affects the guts, lupus they have just discovered the gene that causes it for some patients, it affects joints, tendons and many organs, type 1 diabetes is often caused by a virus and destroys the body's insulin production ability.

If they said don't drink before a test then that means don't drink anything. It's a less common instruction (a lot of tests are 'don't eat but can drink water') so they must mean it.

My sympathies on the vaccine experience, mine made my asthma worse.

Best of luck

Jennifer

Thanks Jennifer - I have Hashi's, Reynauds, Peripheral Neuropathy, Vitiligo, Arthritis, Dupuytrens and Ledderhose disease. Me and my body do not get on!

It has taken me nearly a year to get anyone in the medical profession to even look at what is going on - as soon as you say it started soon after the vaccine, they shut down, look the other way and say the two are not linked. I feel I have aged 10 years in the last year.

I suppose the gag reflex when they stick something down your throad is the reason they do not want you to eat or drink, for which I cannot blame them. I am just not human without my coffee though!

Gosh, that's horrible set of conditions to have.

My friend got the same response from doctors when she told them her set of symptoms (dizziness and heart problems in her case) started after her second vaccine, the doctors don't want to admit there might be problems in case they get into trouble.

I sympathise about the coffee, I am having to do without it at the moment too and I am like a zombie in the morning!
