Sudden Chronic Shortness of Breath in Young Healthy Adult Male (Mystery Diagnosis)
Would it be worthwhile to request a
bronchoscopy
from my pulmonologist to obtain better samples?

New & Worrying
He's had PET scan &
bronchoscopy
. Apparently has spread to lymph nodes in neck but nowhere else. He hasn't smoked for over 45 years. They said treatment will be radiotherapy.

Hospital visit
He has put me back on a steroid inhaler, QVAR, which has improved my breathing already, and is going to book me in for a
bronchoscopy
as he is a bit concerned about a mass in my lung which he thinks is harbouring an infection and he wants to sort it out.

Hello, new here
He has had a
Bronchoscopy
about a yr back and the sister on the unit told me they had to stop itbecause his lungs were bleeding too much. So we were eventually told that there is no thickening or change from previous scan etc.

idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis masquerading as bronchectasis...?
Hi, I was diagnosed with bronchectasis in 2012 after lung scans and a
bronchoscopy
. However, my symptoms do not seem to be the same as others that I have talked with and the ususal treatments for bronchectasis do not help me.

Lung Volume Reduction Valves
Finally, feeling fitter than I'd felt for a number of years (I'd taken up home exercising) I had the final checks and then the
bronchoscopy
, during which the implants were inserted. So, no war-story scars, and out of hospital one week later!

Constant lung Bleeding is wearing me down
They put me through all the tests CT scan ,
bronchoscopy
, countless X-rays, biopsy, and more. I was hospitalized off and on for months. They found 3 nodules in both my lungs but after did not really wanted to commit to the diagnoses of SLE related lung problems.

Not much to tell at the moment
I had ct scan and blood tests, and I am now waiting for a letter to admit me for a
Bronchoscopy
, and other tests. My breathing still no better and my chest is sore all the time. I also have a slight cough again, but not all the time, so hopefully I will, in the end get some meds.

Hi all, Doctor called early this morning to tell me the team that he presented my results from my recent
bronchoscopy

AARP Magazine
I chose to proceed with
bronchoscopy
& it turned out to be cancer. Nov 9 I Had surgery to remove lower lobe of right lung - Stage IB. I've had my first 6 mo. scan, which showed no cancer. Thank God I read that article in ARRP magazine! I had no symptoms at all.

Fungal/brittle nails and other infections.
I have also over years had other infections like UTI, and more rcently had a
bronchoscopy
here in France, because in 2 yrs I've lived in this rented house which has damp and mould I've had bronchitis? Certainly I've had lung and oesophagus infections which had to be treated by antibiotics.

GPA AKA Wegeners granulomatosis
I am now going through the long process of diagnosis and have had
Bronchoscopy
and lung biopsy, kidney and liver biopsy but the rheumatologist, who, by default, deal with these diseases, are not specialists and so it can be a very painful and long road to diagnosis and then real treatment.
