I know it was though as the law states that if you are treated differently on account of a protected characteristic and were treated less favourably than if you hadn’t been breastfeeding, then it is discrimination. Thanks x

The biggest thing is I can't stop ruminating over the fact we are no longer breastfeeding. We were breastfeeding really well for the first week and then as the psychosis took home and me and my son were seperated he needed formula as I got placed at the MBU.

our baby girl is now 7 weeks old and since 2 weeks old she has had a bottle of breastmilk a day on top of normal breastfeeding to get her used to having a bottle.

I have/ had all of these and I also had an episode when I stopped breastfeeding. I’m highly highly sensitive to hormone shifts. I’m just wondering if there is a pattern here amongst up pp/ bipolar mums? Thanks xx

I was able to continue breastfeeding and back in August/September 2024 I weaned her and got my period back (for the first time) shortly after. Around late September into October I experienced psychosis again…….

They help promote and normalise breastfeeding/chestfeeding & support all infant feeding parents, including those who are formula feeding, mixed feeding and introducing or feeding solid foods.

I know that social media is such a snapshot and not the whole picture but I feel this deep grief/jealousy when I see birth announcements and pictures of people breastfeeding and settling into life with their new babies. I feel so robbed of that experience. Does this get better in time?

I suffer with this myself and he kicks his legs like I would and will moan, sometimes cry if it keeps happening and it's always when he's relaxed, breastfeeding, before he falls asleep and during the night.

Currently I'm still breastfeeding twice a day, my periods haven't returned, and I'm wondering whether I'll need to stop breastfeeding, and possibly also wait for periods to hopefully return (I'm 44) before going for a FET?

However, the toll of the ivf and fertility journey, plus c-section and breastfeeding difficulties has really had an impact on my mental health. I am abroad in a non English speaking country, but looking for a telephone or remote counselling service to help with post natel depression.

We welcomed our little boy in 2022 and I was well until there were changes in breastfeeding again. I had manic symptoms when my little boy started solids at 6 months but symptoms were managed with medication.

I’m currently taking Mycophenalate, which is incompatible with pregnancy and breastfeeding. With hindsight, I probably could have done egg harvesting before starting the medication… Raynauds has meant that blood and oxygen flow to the placenta have severely restricted, so couldn’t carry.

I am also breastfeeding my baby boy and plan to do IVF again at the start of next year so want that to be considered in my treatment. I also have a history of miscarriages. 1. Is it possible that I have postpartum hyperthyroidism instead? 2.

I’d be really grateful for any advice or shared experiences of breastfeeding with a history of pp. I am honestly not entirely sure how to approach the nights with or without breastfeeding while trying to get sleep so I stay well.

I had a baby in June 2024 and I have been exclusively breastfeeding ever since then. My period came back with the same normal flow and a duration of three to five days with no cramps at all. That is exactly how it has always been just before I got pregnant.

I've stopped breastfeeding in February and just had my 3rd period. It's not too bad yet but it is clearly getting worse every time. My symptoms were always extremely painful, heavy periods, and endo belly. I'm now approaching my 40th birthday. What shall I do to control the endo?
