our baby girl is now 7 weeks old and since 2 weeks old she has had a bottle of breastmilk a day on top of normal breastfeeding to get her used to having a bottle. Since this Friday she has started refusing the bottle completely and we can’t work out why we are trying different bottles and techniques but nothing seems to be working please help !!!

Hi congratulations on your new baby and well done for getting through those early weeks! It’s such a slog. I know at different stages in those first few months feeding for me with my little ones was very impacted by whether they were teething or having a growth spurt or just as they began to be a little more congested. For me the best thing I found was to reassure myself of the things that were working and to work out the pattern of the change and try and see if I could resolve it that way. It sounds like you are already doing so many good things that can help and doing a good job trying to work it out. Just in case you haven’t already found it I found this link on information on baby feeding that might be helpful justonenorfolk.nhs.uk/healt...

For me I found the breast feeding quite hard. I would often ring my health visitor or ask at the drop in weight clinic. I found them so helpful to have a quick chat at these times. You can always ring just one number and speak to someone about what’s going on. Their number is 03003000123 i hope you find something that helps 🤞🏻
