Ibrance and Faslodex stopped working; oral faslodex?
I was doing so well on Ibrance and Faslodex, I thought I would be one of the lucky ones who stayed on it for five years without progression. After just two years, I developed a new bone met, and a small lesion in the hilem (?). My oncologist took me off Ibrance, then off Faslodex. The alternatives were

I have hope
I am new and this is my first post. I had breast cancer 11 years ago at the age of 64. It was caught very early by routine mammogram and the surgeon was just going to remove the very small lump. I said I would feel safer if I had a mastectomy, and he agreed to that. Now the cancer has come back, this

I'm just at the end of my tether.
Hi everyone, I had to write to you all for a bit of support and comfort as today especially has been an incredibly difficult one from the very onset of being woken by the mobile ringing me. it literally frightened me to death as me and my partner were both asleep. The council housing association rang

Fun weekend.
Morning, so today is my eldest child's birthday, hes 5 today. I'm a mixture of emotions, so happy to see his birthday and hoping there are many more to see. We went to Flamingoland yesterday for his birthday, he was also tall enough for a few roller coasters this year but he is definitely not an adreneline

COVID vaccine may lead to a harmless lump in your armpit, so women advised to delay mammograms for 6 weeks.
Australian women are being asked to think about the timing of breast cancer screening as they prepare to receive their COVID vaccine. This is in light of US evidence that a normal consequence of COVID vaccination, temporary swelling of the lymph nodes in the armpit, may interfere with how doctors interpret

Your first bone marrow biopsy?
I had mine last month and am just now getting around to sharing my experience. As they prepare you for the procedure, I highly recommend looking at the caregiver with a somewhat crazed expression and using a very slightly elevated voice say “Give me drugs!” And when the person who actually is to perform

New MBC therapy for HER+ cancer
Looks like NICE has a new recommendation for treating advanced HER+ breast cancer that can’t be surgically addressed. Sounds promising. https://www.onclive.com/view/nice-recommends-trastuzumab-deruxtecan-in-advanced-her2-breast-cancer Is anyone using this therapy now?

Faslodex
My PET scan showed three new areas that have metastasized plus pleural effusion. I've been on Letrizole for 2 1/2 years and it obviously has stopped working. My oncologist is switching me to Faslodex injections. What can I expect for side effects? Is anyone familiar with this treatment? I am very scared

Newly diagnosed with three different cancers in breast
I have been told I need to have a removal of the left

in about 3-4 weeks. I opted for

at the same time from my belly fat. I feel perfectly well so having a hard time dealing with this. Has anyone else experienced this. I don't know what to do and I am so scared.

eve exe
hallo everyone, after less than two years on kisqali-fulvestrant my ca 15.3 is increasing and I will have very likely to change treatment soon. Did anyone try eve-exe combo? My Dr. wants me to go on Xeloda, but I am not so eager to start chemotherapy.... Silvia

Broken rib
Hi all, It's been a bit since I've posted - but I have been keeping up with you all! I'm still holding steady on Ibrance and Letrozole. My bone mets aren't showing up on my PET scans, so I'm thankful for that. My concern is that on my most recent PET scan, another recent rib fracture was documented

CA 15-3
I'm always curious about the cancer marker CA 15-3, which is supposedly a protein that is produced by normal breast cells. According to my blood labs, the "normal range" for CA 15-3 is 0-20. Some of you fellow MBC sisters describe ranges in the 100's. When you are expressing your marker in the

Xeloda Questions
I’ve been on Xeloda since late October, and love it for the most part. My only issues are my hands and feeling gassy. My hands aren’t peeling, but I think they’ve lost maybe 25% of their sensation, and they feel like sausages that are about to explode! Does that keep getting worse, or does it hit

Pet Scan
Got results of my scan yesterday and I am NED!!!I do have a cracked rib on my left side and was told that was probably from radiation! Have been taking Femara ( letrazole) since last March and Ibrance since last May. Now if I can get over this upper respiratory infection I will be great!
