Hi I am on 100 mg of Ibrance and faslodex monthly injections and about to start zometa monthly infusions. I have been on treatment about 10 months with Mets to the bone. My initial breast cancer was 6 years ago. I had radiation and chemo at that time.
I am experiencing so many side effects that are really impacting my quality of life. I have a lot of bone pain, headaches and sore neck and tired and really just hurt all over. My head always feels swollen and have ear pressure. I had a head MRI and it was clear.
My question though is, has anyone experienced vision issues and hearing issues on these meds? My heating has definitely gotten worse and my eyes hurt so much and are blurry and if I touch my eyeballs and they hurt so much. I can’t even explain it correctly about my eyes but that is attributing to my headaches I’m sure. I’ve made an appointment with my eye doctor.
My oncologist didn’t seem overly concerned but not sure I explained it well or that I adequately expressed the pain. I rated it as a 7 out of 10. I sometimes think he thinks I’m crazy with my side effects. I’m also very anxious and I think he thinks these symptoms are so bizarre and attributed to my anxiety but he says he believes they are real but physically can’t explain what is going on. He’s offered me anxiety meds but my body is so sensitive to medications that I’m afraid to put anything else into it because of the side effects. I do have allergies to many antibiotics.
I’m mostly concerned about my eyes and hearing. Any thoughts. Sorry too long
