Fulvestrant side effects and updates
After 4yrs of silence and no medications against my oncologist advice, my
breast
cancer
is back. Atleast I was spared from horrible side effects for those times. My 2023 January Ct scan showed mets again in mu lungs, liver and some other areas.

The biopsy confirmed my
breast
cancer
diagnosis. I had to push for information as the pathology results are incomplete. So now I know I have a stage 2 invasive carcinoma, hormone positive. Cancer type to follow. I've been referred for an MRI.

Interesting new targeted therapy trial
TTX-MC138 is hormone receptor independent and has the potential to treat metastatic
breast
cancer
regardless of type (ER+/-, PR+/, HER2+/-, or combinations thereof) So much to hopeful about!

Stopping Levothyroxine temporarily
I found out I had an underactive thyroid when had a routine blood test after
breast
cancer
diagnosis. I had no symptoms, but was put on Levothyroxine (50) by GP at the time. I was also on Letrozole to stop estrogen.

URGENT fund for END OF LIFE Care
Due to
Breast
cancer
, her days are numbered. All we want for her, now, is as less suffering as possible. That requires her admission to a hospital which provides end of life care. Its been a long battle of 5 years filled with emotional, mental and financial traumas. We have no money left to pay.

Is this normal?
I thought this was an old drug meant for
breast
cancer
patients stages 1-3 who were trying to prevent it from coming back or spreading. Just looking for any tidbits you may have. I’m in Alberta, Canada and he explained that we are buying time until we get approved for what’s coming down the pipes.

Tooth extraction after receiving Zometa?
My tooth extraction is scheduled for 9/18 but it’s not related to my metastatic
breast
cancer
or any drugs I have received. It’s due to internal resorption and is being removed 8 weeks after my first Zometa infusion.

Testing if Aromatise inhibitors work for you- you might be able to stop taking them
It was a test to see if Tamoxifen or any of the aromatase inhibitors work are helpful to take for my
breast
cancer
. I would need to look up my exact diagnosis as I can’t remember exactly. I know it was hormone receptive invasive ductal stage 2.

Experience Taking Xeloda
I was diagnosed in 2019 with

, in 2020 with uterine, and this February with colon. I am NED with
breast

Soy concerns
I stay away from soy because of
breast
cancer
risks. I don't have
breast
cancer
but avoid any estrogen enhancing products/medication like hormone therapy and soy. Are there any alternatives to soy?

Bronchoscopy
Tomorrow I am having a bronchoscopy and it's obviously necessary since I have lung involvement with my
breast
cancer
. I am having a little anxiety about this procedure. I have a DVT under my left armpit where one of the cancer mass is with numerous blood clots. The surgeon said I will be asleep.
