Saline Inhalation
Hi, I have been asked to consider hypertonic saline in-between my twice daily salbutamol and gentamicin nebuliser. I am sure it would help with thick sputum clearance but i have had swollen ankles for about 15 years for which i take bendroflumethiazide but this does not make the swelling disappear. I

Ventolin
Unfortunately, I ended up in A&E again last night, had to have nebs, hydrocortisone and magnesium again. The doctor told me to use my ventolin every four hours last night and today, every six hours tomorrow and then every eight on Sunday. He said this would help to stop my asthma from flaring up again

Bronchiectasis
Iv have only just discovered that I have bronchiectasis but apparently I have had it for 4 years. I was told that my left lung was damaged 4 years ago after several chest infections. Lately I have had 5 courses of antibiotics and 4 courses of steroids. I have also had an X-ray and a CT scan to be told

nebuliser with oxygen
My husband is in a " temporary" ward as no beds in respiratory ward. Today I discovered they were administering nebuliser with the oxygen supply turned up because there was no medical air. Has anybody else experienced this. We are having a meeting with the Dr tomorrow.
