After struggling on for a couple of weeks without really improving I gave in today and headed in to A&E š But taking victories where I get them - itās the first time I havenāt been rushed through to resus in about 18 months!! āOnlyā requiring back to back nebs in majors at the moment š fingers crossed

Final waved the white flag š³ļøš
So after ignoring and putting up with my asthma for about a month and just treatment at home, Iāve finally given in and rung of an ambulance. I decide that when I couldnāt get my PF to maintain above 40% despite nebs I should probably seek help. š š¤« Great fun with the ambulance coordinator on the phone

What i thought was a bit of an asthma flair turned out to be a full attack! Out of hours sent me to a n e where i had nebs and magnesium. Unfortunatly i reacted to the magnesium with really low blood pressure and high hr. Anyone else had a reaction? I am currently awaiting a bed and the pred paranoia

Hey everyone, Iāve been having a flare up since mid October with a nebuliser and steroids given yesterday morning at the out of hours doctors. I went to see a nurse practitioner yesterday as the doctor wanted me to go on a reducing dose of steroids but she refused saying the wheeze is now upper respiratory

Bronchiectasis with colonised psudamonas. I am new on here, and having trouble with medication given to me through a nebuliser. Saline nebs when ill
Anyone else here use saline nebs when theyāre ill? They donāt help my bronchi to open up or anything but they make it easier to cough properly. They were recommended to me a few hospital stays back just for when Iāve got a cold or Iām in a flare or something but it occurs to me itās not a common thing

Two Asthma Attacks in the space of Two MonthsāShould I be concerned?
Before I get into this whole thing since I am new on this forum, I just want to start off by saying that from birth I was quite sickly. I was born with malfunctioning kidney valves that taken two years to fix, had severe asthma growing up and my first asthma attack was when I was 8 years old, I had two

Confused and looking for advice please :)
So this question is mainly aimed at people who have a mild form of asthma I guess. And I know that I've asked a few questions before and gotten advice based on it but just wondering if someone has been in this situation or what I could do. Thanks in advance. Trying to keep this short...and failing ;

Iāve had the most scariest 48 hours of my life ! Last week I developed what I thought was a cold which rapidly made an impact on my secretions. I took a sputum year to the lab directly ( Iām a nurse so can do that ) and went home sick. Saw my gp on Friday who started me on co-amoxiclav as I had growing

When to call an ambulance for a child.
Hi everybody, I have a 5 year old with severe eosinophilic asthma, he has had 38 hospital admissions in the last 2.5 years and he is symptomatic (wheezes) every night and approx 5/7 days daytime symptoms. I am happy with the care he receives from the 2 hospitals that he is under and his school and childminder

Struggling
Hi all, I am a brittle asthmatic, admitted on Monday after a weekend of struggling. I increased my steroid and nebuliser (which is usually only for emergency use) before seeing the GP on Monday morning. She sent me in to the hospital (straight to the ward, no A&E). Fast forward to today. Other than
