cisplatin
Hi, I was on Carboplatin, Avastin and Zem, but I got an allergic reaction from Carboplatin. My oncologist told me he will replace Carboplatin with Cisplarin for my 5 session. I am wondering if someone has been on Cisplatin and what’s yours experience with Cisplatin?

well it’s been a while since I posted my fellow warriors Started having hip issues a couple of months ago. Did a Ct and MRI as well as X-rays. Found that the ball was gone off my left hip , then on closer inspection found that the right hip the cancer had eaten all the way thru the upper femur ?

Newly diagnosed with HCC
I am a 78 year old retired educator who has battled GIST CANCER for 20 years. To my surprise, An HCC tumor was found in my liver in between two GIST tumors. in my June 5 MRI. The GIST tumors were shrinking out of site thanks to be taking Gleevec, a targeted therapy drug. My surgeon could not safely resect

A Secondary Primary Malignancy hit me
The doctors tell us that you don't die from CLL; you die with CLL. What they don't tell you very often is that even though it isn't the CLL that gets you, it could very well be a secondary primary malignancy caused by the CLL that does it. Bennevisplace wrote on this a few months ago; i.e. the fact

Tomorrow is finally the day of my MRI after waiting 3 1/2 months since the ultrasound and CT scan couldn't be sure of a mass or not.
After having to postpone my original MRI appt last month due to the death of my mother, I am finally getting it done tomorrow. Those who haven't read my previous posts, a fibroid and possible ovarian mass were found on an incidental CT scan back in March where I was diagnosed with diverticulitis after

Guided bacteria, 100% effective in preclinical trials
well, I am citing... "With a 100% remission rate and no meaningful side effects in all the subjects of the company's preclinical trials, this technology is conceived to address all solid tumors, representing 90% of cancer and 89% of deaths." Even 50% of that result in humans would be amazing! https

Very promising: PIP Polyspecific Integrin-Binding Peptide, a novel and very flexible platform
Basically, they have developed a technology that can simultaneously bind to different "proteins" expressed by cancers. This means a wider specificity. One cancer mutation could express for example KRAS 12C and another KRAS 12D (just an example using terms and mutation I know!) and the chemo drug would

Consider the options?
Post total hysterectomy, etc., one cycle of carboplatin (couldn't tolerate paclitaxel) and now on Avastin i/v and Olaparib. CA 9, which is fantastic. Side effects are just destroying me. I am 80, the Olaparib goes through to mid June 2026 and the Avastin finishes at the end of this year. Oncologist

hi everyone- my father has MBC and is currently on Lynparza / Olaparib to target the BRCA2 gene mutation. He has been on it for 9 months and had a scan that showed complete control over his breast cancer on May 21st (not too long ago at all). The only thing that “lit up” on the scan was his Prostate
