Xeloda neck pain

On first week xeloda and I get severe neck and face pain once a day..I take a klonpin and tylenol and relieved in half hour..I don't know if anyone else has it.ROX

Hi! I don't know if this is related to what you are experiencing in any way, but I developed bone pain from Xeloda. It's mostly in my ribs, spine and hips. My scans are NED, markers are near normal so my doctor and I chalked it up as a side effect of Xeloda. The pharma literature I get with my prescriptions does say it can cause back, bone, joint and muscle pain. Hope this helps.

Hey there! I think my mom is experiencing some pain also from the xeloda . Would you mind sharing your current dosage and schedule as far as….are you one week on or two weeks on. Mom is currently on 2500 I believe. I think she now takes 5 pills a day it was 6 and two weeks on one week off. And how long total have you been on xeloda now? Thanks so much!

Hello! I’ve been on Xeloda now for 19 months. My schedule has been one week on, one week off from the start. I started on 3000 mg per day - 1500 a.m. /1500 p.m. After 6 months the pain was no longer manageable so it was reduced to 2000 mg per day with only minor pain relief. I took 8 weeks off this last February to give my body a break and went back on at 1500 mg per day - 500 a.m. /1000 p.m. The pain is now very manageable with Tylenol every once in a while, and my markers are still at normal and scan still NED. It’s been a tough one to tolerate but much better now. It has been very effective at controlling the cancer for me. I hope this helps! Best regards.
