Exposure to shingles.
My daughter, age 43, has been diagnosed with presumptive case of shingles. She's being treated with an antiviral. I had chicken pic, herpes zoster oticus ( same as daughter, coincidence?) And I have had the shingles vaccine? Should I stay away from her and if so for how long? Btw, the other potential

"Off's" and Requip problems
Hi everyone, To"Parkies" who have a lot of "off" looks as if you need a revision of your medicines. A neurologist who has a special interest in Parkinsons is the best. Requip is a good medicine, but I have experienced vivid dreams, and not much REM sleep. The neuologist reduced Requip depå till 2mg/

problems associated with encephalocele include cleft palate
Stranger than strange. I am Irish and being born in Ireland there is a problem with health records and in 2012 I was diagnosed with an unilateral cleft palate, in the 5 years since I have come to learn via on-line research that this mean I have always had a white matter volume loss and frontal lobe issues

Hypothyroidism and complications?
I'm a new member. I've just had my thyroxine increased after scans showed my pituitary gland is very enlarged and pressing on my brain and my TSH levels are totally out of control. I also have a growth in the centre of my brain which could be a pineal cyst or something worse also creating pressure on

Essential Tremors
Although I do not have Parkinson’s, I do have essential tremors which are profound. A year ago I had DBS surgery on the right side and this has proven to be outstanding. I feel that I am in the wrong forum. Maybe there is another forum for essential tremors which may be more beneficial.

I am 57 years old and I was diagnosed with pd 3 years ago but my doctor reckons I have had it for at least 2 years before that Back in April 2017 my consultant said I seemed to be a perfect candidate for DBS would I consider it. I didn’t have to Think twice. I take Sinimet,Ropinirole and Rasagiline

Beyond tired ....
Hi all, I have been reading the posts on here since joining last year. The advice & support offered by everyone is wonderful. Had a 12 mm brain aneurysm stented & coiled last year. It was successful & I count myself lucky indeed. Especially when I read the daily struggles many of you encounter. Back

Lyme and lupus oh my
I am not on disability as of yet but I was headed that way fast. You see I am an electrician and having to do the physically demanding work was taking me down fast. Had it not been for several higher ups being pushed to retire I would be out of work. I now do a lot of computer work but there are still

Viral Meningitis twice how is this possible?
In 2003 I was struck down with Viral Meningitis and in hospital for 10 days. They told me it was the Herpes Simplex virus that had caused the Meningitis but I had no cold sores or anything at that time. It took around a year to feel better with the main problem being tiredness and this wobbling feeling

Reassurance please
Does anyone get those types of headaches where it feels like squeezing? Sometimes it's in my temples sometimes it's in the back of the head sometimes it's in the top... I've had this for about over a year now and had a ct scan but like a true health anxiety sufferer I still got a brain tumour. I really
