Baby with viral meningitis
My baby granddaughter has just come home from hospital after viral meningitis and she seem really unhappy and hard to comfort? She has really bad nappy rash which we expected as a result of the amount of drugs pumped into her but she just seems so unhappy! Any ideas or thought ? Will it pass?

Had The Flu Jab Today! Declined The Shingles One!
Personal decision on this! Read earlier posts, references & the devil is in the detail! Who knows? What I can say is that my GCA followed straight after Shingles!! (Plus a lot of other stuff!)

Meningitis c vaccine privately for babies?
Hello, so in the newest NHS vaccine schedule all babies receive the meningitis B vaccine. However, they have postponed the men c vaccine to 1 year now. I've read about a girl getting meningitis c before her first birthday though, so she would have been protected had the vaccines still been given at 12

NDT to Levothyroxine T4and T3
Hi, I am currently on 3 tablets of Thai NDT by T.R Mann. I was much better on 2 grains of Nature Throid but I just can’t afford to keep buying these expensive NDT’s. I have decided to try T4 and a small amount of T3 which works out a lot cheaper and is easier to get hold of. I treat myself as I have

Travel
Husband had
brain
haemorrhage
in March and is recovering quite well. We have an overnight stop also. I drive mostly but husband gets very irritable and anxious as a passenger on long journeys. We also have to travel on ferry which he finds stressful.

Post Viral Meningitis - Depression?
Hi. I was diagnosed with Viral Meningitis end August. Was in Hospital for 2 weeks. I was discharged and spent 3 days home resting. For 2 days I went to work only half day. The 3rd day I was back full time. Unfortunately I had no choice but to work as my sick leave was already exhausted. I was now

Deep brain stimulation first therapy to slow the progression of Parkinson's disease
“DBS is the first therapy to show disease-modifying effect—it can actually slow down cardinal features of Parkinson’s. There has been no therapy, drug, or device that has ever been able to do that,” said Dr. Konrad. https://www.mdlinx.com/neurology/top-medical-news/article/index.cfm/ZZ52FEC8C385D94C8EA0767FCBC5BA4391

Is it safe for me if my wife has the live shingles vaccine?
I'm 72 and on W&W for 5 years. My wife is 71 and has low immunities and wants to have the live shingles vaccine available here in the UK. Her nurse says that Public Health England says she can have it and I'll be safe. If she gets a rash after the vaccination, which happens sometimes, she should

Sudden Downturn
My spouse has the DBS in oct 2016. The past 6 months, he’s been falling daily. Forgetting, occasionally leaving stove on... Finally, the doctor convinced him to get a walker. We’re also testing him to see if he can drive. I upped his devices to 3.7voltz a month ago but the dr put them at 4.0 yesterday

Feel like my head is going to blow up.
Has anyone else got a feeling like they have pressure in their head and it’s going to burst. It’s not a headache, but a bitter feeling inside. I suppose it feels like a tight feeling, stiff and like it gets locked. So hard to describe. I’m thinking all sorts of things, but mainly that it might be a tumour

Ca125 advice
Hello, I had a dermoid cyst removed last week. It was brought forward by 2 months due to my CA125 levels being 49. The doctor doesn’t seem too phased by this but I can’t help but worry about what this really means. The tumour (dermoid cyst/ teratoma) has been sent for testing and I have been told it

Shingles vaccination
Hi, I know this has been the subject of previous posts, but, as it did not concern me at the time, I paid no attention to the replies! Anyway, yesterday I was told by a nurse in our surgery that I am now the right age for the shingles vaccination - I am 78. Are there likely to be any problems bearing
