We have medical ok to travel from France to Uk for grand daughters christening. Husband had brain haemorrhage in March and is recovering quite well. We have an overnight stop also.

I drive mostly but husband gets very irritable and anxious as a passenger on long journeys. We also have to travel on ferry which he finds stressful. I want to keep him calm and bp down if possible.

Any advice for a calm smooth journey please? Am getting anxious myself which does nt help.

Thankyou

Hi Charente,

Many thanks for your post.

You might find the information in our holidays and travel factsheet useful. You can download it here: headway.org.uk/media/2802/h...

You might also like to talk it through with our helpline team - you can get in touch on 0808 800 2244 or helpline@headway.org.uk

I hope this helps, and that some of our members can provide a more first-hand account of travelling after brain injury.

Best wishes,

Andrew
