Right Sided Pacemaker
I had a pacemaker inserted last year for sick sinus syndrome. Unfortunately it got infected and had to be removed. I found the whole thing very traumatic. Unfortunately had a four hour episode of low heart rate the other evening so might have to reconsider having another fitted which of course would

Transplant waiting list imminent/Nintedanib feedback
Hi all, Been a while again since my last update. I was hoping to bring you definitive news on the transplant situation but we're not quite there yet as I've still to meet the team to discuss when to go on the transplant list and find out how long my window of opportunity might be. However, the good

Stopping Smoking
I am so proud of getting to a year+ since stopping smoking. Yes it took a heart attack and a triple heart bypass to give me the 'motivation'. I cannot believe I have no cravings whatsoever, ending a whole day fast and not being bothered about not having a cigarette, simply astonishing to my old self

Heart Surgery in India?
Hi I am new here so not sure if this appropriate for this forum. Three years ago I was diagnosed with two leaky heart valves. Due to Covid, three appointments with a cardiologist were cancelled. I didn't have any symptoms at the time. After a visit to A&E ,because of extreme breathlessness, I was referred

Random Blood Pressure Spikes
Recently I have woken early morning feeling weird. Checking BP found it to be sky high (e.g. 200/90). This has only occurred a few times seemingly random. I end up with being given ACE tablets which do reduce my normal readings which are in fact quite reasonable e.g. 130ish/80ish (after learning how

*Sensitive* He’s finally here - but now we have to have him over to the surgeons 💔 UPDATED
UPDATE 3.6.22: I just wanted to say a massive thank you so much for all of the kind messages and words of support 🙏. Our beautiful boy survived 5.5 hours of open heart surgery on Wed. We we were told by the surgeons that “it went smoothly”, which was a huge relief. However, it is still very early days

Should I be concerned of this spot?
15m, I am very worried about this kind of noticeable yellow spot on my upper chest, should I be concerned of this. FYI there is no pain, and I woke up in the morning and it was just there, I also don't remember getting a bruise.

Heart Failure
I contracted Covid in March and at which time I was also diagnosed with AF. I have had several Doctors and Hospital appointments and each time my Medications have been increased changed and most recently one tablet removed. I find it slightly unsettling each time a medical professional refers to it

The Wrong Watering Can!
Morning all! Three weeks today since my ablation and all is well in NSR ever since🌝 Need to still remember though that it's early days. We have two greenhouses and raised veg beds . We are also lucky enough to have a spring fed well so we don't use a water hose but cans instead. MrW fills them and I
