Heart Surgery in India?

Hi I am new here so not sure if this appropriate for this forum. Three years ago I was diagnosed with two leaky heart valves. Due to Covid, three appointments with a cardiologist were cancelled. I didn't have any symptoms at the time. After a visit to A&E ,because of extreme breathlessness, I was referred to a heart clinic. They gave me an echocardiogram, and an appointment was made for a CT scan for further investigation. Unfortunately the scanner broke down, so this has been delayed for a month. I then won't have the follow up appointment until December. If I need valve repairs, or replacements, there will no doubt be a long waiting list for the procedures. I am feeling very frustrated. I can't afford private treatment here ,but could possibly in India. The costs for private medical treatments appear much lower there. I've been told they have very high standards in their top hospitals. I've noticed that they actively advertise for foreign patients, no doubt as an income source to boost facilities for the local population.

My question is. Does anyone have any experience of seeking treatment in India, or elsewhere ? I have had a lot of negative feed back from friends.
